Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen EC2 instance type. All 21 dimensions deliver the same preinstalled Yarn package manager on Ubuntu; they differ only by the underlying compute size. Options span burstable instances (t2 and t3 families, from nano through 2xlarge), general-purpose instances (m3, m4, m5), compute-optimized instances (c3, c4, c5), and memory-optimized instances (r3, r4, r5). Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. You scale vertically by picking a bigger instance type. Billing tracks actual hours used, with no upfront commitment.
