Overview
Nightscout CGM in the Cloud is a comprehensive, self-hosted continuous glucose monitoring platform that empowers millions of people with diabetes to take control of their health. Used by over 589 million diabetics worldwide, this open-source solution provides real-time access to glucose data from anywhere with an internet connection. The platform serves Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics, caregivers, parents of diabetic children, and healthcare providers who need continuous monitoring capabilities. Key features include real-time glucose level visualization with customizable charts and graphs, intelligent alerting system for high/low glucose events, comprehensive reporting and trend analysis, and broad CGM device compatibility including Dexcom G6/G7, FreeStyle Libre, and Medtronic sensors. The Docker deployment (nightscout/cgm-remote-monitor:latest) runs on port 1337 and can be easily deployed on any cloud infrastructure, providing a secure, HIPAA-compliant environment for sensitive health data. Usage instructions
Step 1: Launch this AMI using t3.medium or larger. Step 2: SSH with ssh ubuntu@<public-ip>. Step 3: Wait 2-3 min for Docker to start. Step 4: Access Nightscout at http://<public-ip>:1337. Step 5: Change API_SECRET in /opt/waltsoft/docker-compose.yml immediately.
