Product Description

Global coronavirus (COVID-19) data, including US county level data, tracking the number of confirmed cases, deaths, recoveries and individuals tested for the virus. From April 11, 2020 data will be updated daily to match the update frequency at source.

The Corona Data Scraper pulls COVID-19 Coronavirus case data from verified sources, finds the corresponding GeoJSON features, and adds population data.

All sources are cited right in the same row as the data. Where US county level data is not yet available, state level data is reported.

Each location has a featureId number that acts as a linking key.

Files

1. JSON (by date) Cases, deaths, recovered and active cases are organized by date.
2. JSON (by location) Key fields such as dates, lat/long coordinates, confirmed cases and deaths are organized by location.
3. CSV Each row contains the data for a location on particular date. Columns include county, state, population, source url, confirmed cases, deaths, number of individuals who have recovered and number of individuals tested.
4. CSV (tidy) In this CSV, the number of confirmed cases, deaths, individuals who have recovered, active cases and a calculated estimate for viral growth factor are organized as separate rows for each location and date.
5. CSV (like JHU) This CSV shows the changes in the number of active cases by location since January 22, 2020.

Please note that fill rates for the data vary across reporting agencies and regions.
