    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    Usage Instructions

Overview This product is delivered as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) that provides a preconfigured Web and API server. All required services are deployed automatically using Docker during the first boot through an EC2 user data script. No manual installation is required.

The product does not store sensitive customer data by default and does not use proprietary encryption or cryptographic keys.

    Prerequisites

    • An active AWS account
    • Permission to launch EC2 instances
    • An EC2 key pair (for optional SSH access)
    • A security group allowing inbound access on:
      • Port 80 (HTTP)
      • Port 22 (SSH recommended to restrict to your IP)

    Launching the Instance

    1. Subscribe to the product in AWS Marketplace.
    2. Choose Launch through EC2.
    3. Select an instance type (for example: t3.small or higher).
    4. Select or create an EC2 key pair.
    5. Configure a security group with ports 80 and 22 open.
    6. Launch the instance.

After startup, the instance automatically initializes the application using Docker. This may take several minutes.

    Accessing the Application

    1. Open the EC2 console.

    2. Select your running instance.

    3. Copy the Public IPv4 address or Public DNS name.

    4. Open a web browser and navigate to:

      http://<public-ip>/

    Example: http://203.0.113.25/

The web interface and API are available on port 80.

Optional SSH Access If needed, connect to the instance using:

    ssh -i <key.pem> ubuntu@<public-ip>

Use SSH for troubleshooting, log inspection, or advanced configuration.

    Monitoring and Health Checks

    • Verify that EC2 status checks show 2/2 passed.

    • Confirm that the web interface loads correctly.

    • To check container status via SSH:

      docker ps docker logs <container-name>

You may also use Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring CPU, memory, and network usage.

    Data and Security

    • Application services run inside Docker containers.
    • No sensitive credentials are stored by default.
    • If you store custom data, use standard AWS backup methods such as EBS snapshots.
    • For production use, restrict SSH access and consider enabling HTTPS.

Service Quotas This product uses standard EC2 resources. Ensure your account has sufficient EC2 vCPU and instance quotas. You may request increases through AWS Service Quotas if needed.

Upgrade Instructions To upgrade to a newer version:

    1. Back up any required data.
    2. Launch a new instance using the latest AMI version.
    3. Restore data if applicable.
    4. Test the new instance.
    5. Stop or terminate the previous instance.

    In-place upgrades are not supported.
