Production-ready N8N with full root access, security hardening, and automated setup - a self-hosted alternative to Zapier and Make for workflow automation on AWS.
This fully managed N8N solution delivers a production-ready workflow automation platform on AWS, built on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Every instance is pre-configured with security best practices, optimized settings, and automated operations.
Why Choose Self-Hosted N8N?
Unlike Zapier or Make (Integromat), this AMI gives you full root and OS-level access with no per-workflow or per-execution pricing. Create unlimited workflows with 400+ integrations. Keep your automation data and API credentials within your own infrastructure.
Key Features
Visual Workflow Builder
N8N pre-configured with drag-and-drop workflow editor, 400+ pre-built integrations, and custom code nodes for JavaScript and Python.
Automated Setup
On first login, an interactive setup script configures N8N, sets up the database, and applies firewall rules - all within minutes.
Unlimited Workflows
No execution limits, no workflow limits, no throttling. Run as many automations as your instance can handle.
Use Cases
Business process automation and data synchronization
CRM and marketing automation workflows
DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation
Data transformation and ETL pipelines
Slack, email, and notification automation
AI and LLM-powered automation workflows

Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type running your managed n8n workflow automation platform. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance size, grouped into families: compute-optimized (c-series), general purpose (m- and t-series), memory-optimized (r- and x-series), storage-optimized (d- and i-series), accelerated computing (g-, p-, inf-, trn-series), and high-memory (u-series). Pricing scales with the instance's capacity: larger sizes with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware cost more per hour. You choose one instance type to match your workload. Billing is usage-based, so you pay only for the hours you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and what operational work does the vendor handle?
The rate covers a dedicated instance of the n8n workflow automation platform running on your chosen EC2 size. The vendor handles provisioning, TLS certificates, daily backups with 30-day retention, managed version upgrades, security patching, and monitoring. The software stays standard and unmodified, with full admin access.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges meter running time, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing those charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes. You choose one instance type and pay only for the hours it runs.
Can I move my data off the platform or migrate an existing n8n instance in?
Yes. A full data export is available on request at any time, and cancellation includes a final export. Migration from an existing self-hosted instance is assisted, covering data import, a parallel-run period, and a scheduled DNS cutover. The software stays standard, so moving in either direction needs no negotiation.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
