Overview
This assessment gives organizations an independent, evidence-based view of their AWS security posture and cloud spend. AWS-certified architects review the customer's environment against the AWS Well-Architected Framework, identifying security gaps, resilience risks, and cost optimization opportunities, and translating them into a prioritized plan the customer can act on.
Security Review Coverage The security review examines identity and access management, permission boundaries and privilege escalation paths, network exposure and security group configuration, encryption at rest and in transit, logging and detection coverage, backup and recovery readiness, and account structure and guardrails. This engagement is read-only: no configuration changes are applied to the customer's environment.
Cost Review Coverage The cost review analyzes compute and storage utilization, rightsizing opportunities, commitment coverage, storage tiering, idle and orphaned resources, and cost allocation tagging.
AWS Services Reviewed The assessment spans AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), IAM Identity Center, AWS Organizations, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Amazon VPC and security groups, AWS WAF, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, AWS Backup, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS Trusted Advisor, and AWS Compute Optimizer.
Deliverables Customers receive an executive summary, a technical findings report with severity ratings and effort estimates, a prioritized remediation backlog, and a cost optimization plan with projected monthly savings. Every finding is rated by severity and mapped to business impact so technical and executive stakeholders can agree on what to fix first without a lengthy discovery cycle.

Support for this engagement covers clarification of findings, guidance on the recommended remediation roadmap, and knowledge transfer to the customer's technical team. A review session is included after delivery of the assessment report to walk through findings and prioritization with the customer's stakeholders.
Support is delivered remotely during business hours, in the customer's preferred time zone where feasible. Duration and coverage are defined per engagement in the statement of work. Hands-on implementation of the recommendations is available through our AWS Security Remediation offering.
