Discovery and assessment
- Inventory of existing database workloads, dependencies, and upstream/downstream systems

Target architecture design
- Design of Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora topologies and deployment patterns
- Definition of scaling, backup/restore, and resilience strategies
Configuration and optimization
- Configuration of read replicas and Aurora reader/writer endpoints
- Setup of Multi-AZ deployments and KMS encryption at rest
- Performance tuning and parameter configuration as required
Application, monitoring, and reporting integration

Responsibilities
This listing describes professional services delivered in customer-owned AWS accounts using native AWS capabilities. KnackForge does not operate a separate software-as-a-service platform as part of this engagement.
KnackForge responsibilities
- Architecture design and review for Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora deployments
- Implementation and configuration of agreed AWS services and features in scope
- Optimization, validation, documentation, and knowledge transfer to customer teams
Customer responsibilities
- Provisioning and ownership of AWS accounts and underlying services
- Execution of day-to-day operations after handover, following the provided runbooks
- Governance, compliance, security approvals, and internal change-management processes related to the environment
