Fluent Bit 5.0.7 on Ubuntu 26.04 is a lightweight, high-performance log processing and forwarding platform available through AWS Marketplace. This offering includes free maintenance support from kCloud, with optional paid support services for organizations that require advanced observability, log pipeline optimization, and operational assistance.
Fluent Bit is a fast and efficient telemetry agent designed to collect, process, filter, and forward logs and metrics from servers, containers, and cloud-native applications. It enables centralized observability by streaming data to multiple destinations such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Loki, Kafka, Splunk, and cloud monitoring services.
Built for modern cloud and container environments, Fluent Bit is optimized for Kubernetes, microservices architectures, and distributed systems. It provides a lightweight alternative to heavier log shippers while maintaining high throughput and low resource consumption.
What Fluent Bit Does
Fluent Bit acts as a log and telemetry pipeline agent that collects data from multiple sources including system logs, application logs, Docker containers, and Kubernetes clusters. It can parse, enrich, and filter data before routing it to one or more output destinations for storage, analytics, or monitoring.
It is widely used in cloud-native environments to ensure reliable log delivery, real-time observability, and efficient data processing across distributed systems.

See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run Fluent Bit on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size across several families: general-purpose (t2, t3, m3, m4, m5), compute-optimized (c3, c4, c5), and memory-optimized (r3, r4, r5). The software rate is the same idea for all: pick the instance that fits your workload, and billing tracks actual running hours. Larger or more specialized instances carry different rates. There is no upfront commitment; you scale by choosing instances and stopping them when not in use.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing represent for each instance dimension?
Each dimension bills per hour that the chosen EC2 instance runs Fluent Bit. One unit equals one running instance-hour. The instance type you select sets the software rate. Running two instances of the same type doubles the hourly charge. Counting tracks wall-clock time the instance is active.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges apply only while the instance runs. A stopped or fully powered-off instance stops accruing the hourly software rate. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the software licence meters running hours only.
What is included with this listing beyond the Fluent Bit software?
The listing packages Fluent Bit on Ubuntu 26.04 with maintenance support from the vendor. The hourly rate covers the software image and vendor maintenance. It does not include the AWS compute, storage, or data-transfer charges for running the instance, which AWS bills separately.
