Terrain360 Imagery Preparation and Annotation for AWS

This service prepares and annotates selections from Terrain360's existing outdoor imagery archive. Work starts with imagery Terrain360 has already captured. Customers choose the relevant state, river corridor, trail network, park or site, and Terrain360 confirms available coverage, capture dates and source quality before quoting the project. Ground and actual aerial captures are identified separately. Available scenes span forests, mountains, deserts, wetlands, waterways, access sites and coastal settings.

Terrain360 turns the agreed archive selection into project-ready deliverables for computer vision, GIS and environmental workflows using Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and, when specified, Amazon SageMaker AI. Preparation can include geographic scene selection, native-resolution image review, format preparation, metadata normalization and an agreed file layout. Deliverables can include imagery, recorded coordinates and capture dates, file inventories, checksums and loading instructions as defined by the project's scope and imagery license.

Optional annotation adds buyer-defined information to the selected Terrain360 images. Examples include scene and feature labels, image descriptions, visible signage and amenities, trail features, river-access features and environmental observations. Each statement of work specifies the label definitions, output formats, review level and acceptance criteria. Model-generated candidates and reviewed observations are identified separately. For a SageMaker AI workflow, agreed work may include label-format preparation and sample input validation against the customer's training or evaluation requirements. Labels describe the reviewed imagery and its capture period; they do not establish current conditions or compliance certification.

Before purchase, Terrain360 provides a written scope identifying the selected existing imagery, preparation or annotation work, deliverables, schedule, service price and acceptance process. The AWS Marketplace private offer bills the agreed preparation and annotation services. Any license for Terrain360 source imagery, permitted uses and separate license charges are explicitly agreed before work begins; the service purchase does not grant access to the entire archive. After purchase, Terrain360 completes the agreed work and supports delivery validation and in-scope corrections. AWS infrastructure charges incurred in the customer's account are separate and paid by the customer.
