This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and OS-level hardening by Blume in line with ACSC ISM Secret compliance. The ACSC ISM Secret Rocky Linux 10 AMI delivers a compliance-ready operating system with stricter security controls designed for environments handling sensitive classified workloads.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ACSC ISM Secret compliance, as defined in the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Information Security Manual (ISM). The ISM Secret level builds upon the Base level with more stringent configuration requirements designed for handling classified workloads that require heightened security assurance.
Controls at the Secret level include stronger access restrictions, advanced system auditing, enhanced encryption, and monitoring measures to minimize exposure to cyber threats and unauthorized access.
By adopting the ISM Secret level, organizations demonstrate compliance alignment with stricter Australian government security standards and can operate with increased confidence in protecting sensitive workloads.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.

Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour, and the rate depends only on the EC2 instance type you run. Every option is an ARM-based (Graviton) instance paired with the same Rocky Linux 10 image, hardened to ACSC ISM Secret controls and backed by seller support. Pricing scales with instance size and family: general-purpose (m-series), compute-optimized (c-series), memory-optimized (r-, x-series), storage- and I/O-focused (i-, is-, im-series), and GPU (g5g) lines, from small sizes up to metal. Larger instances cost more per hour. You run only what you choose, with no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get when I launch one of these hourly instances?
You get a Rocky Linux 10 machine image on an ARM-based (Graviton) EC2 instance. The image is hardened to ACSC ISM Secret controls and includes seller support. The instance size you pick sets the CPU, memory, and storage you receive.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software rate meters running time only, so a fully stopped instance stops accruing that charge. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for the attached volume, may still apply while the instance exists. You pay the software rate again once the instance restarts.
Does my hourly rate change if I resize to a bigger instance?
Yes. The rate is tied to the specific instance type you run. Moving to a larger size or a different family changes the per-hour price for the hours that size runs. There is no upfront commitment, so you only pay for the type you actually launch.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
We recommend scoping your launched EC2 instance to only your internal network and restricting access to your own IP address for maximum security.
How to Connect to Your Rocky Linux 10 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem rocky@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your Rocky Linux 10 instance via SSH.
