This listing has one pricing dimension. You pay by the hour for running the software on an m4.xlarge instance. Billing scales with usage, so charges add up based on how many hours the instance runs. There are no tiers or separate quantity options to choose. The Professional Edition covers unlimited devices, so the hourly rate does not change with the number of monitored devices. You start and stop the instance to control your costs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources do I get on the m4.xlarge instance for the hourly rate?
The m4.xlarge is an AWS instance size with four virtual CPUs and 16 GiB of memory. You run the OpUtils Professional Edition software on this instance. The hourly rate covers the software licence, and AWS bills the underlying compute separately as part of your usage.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges apply only while the m4.xlarge instance is running. When you stop the instance, software charges stop accruing. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the software licence meters running time only. Start and stop the instance to control costs.
Does the number of monitored devices change my hourly cost?
No. This is the Professional Edition for unlimited devices, so the hourly rate stays the same regardless of how many devices, IP addresses, or switch ports you monitor. OpUtils includes tools for IP address management, switch port mapping, and network monitoring, all covered under the single hourly rate.
