The m4.xlarge is an AWS instance size with four virtual CPUs and 16 GiB of memory. You run the OpUtils Professional Edition software on this instance. The hourly rate covers the software licence, and AWS bills the underlying compute separately as part of your usage.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges apply only while the m4.xlarge instance is running. When you stop the instance, software charges stop accruing. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the software licence meters running time only. Start and stop the instance to control costs.
Does the number of monitored devices change my hourly cost?
No. This is the Professional Edition for unlimited devices, so the hourly rate stays the same regardless of how many devices, IP addresses, or switch ports you monitor. OpUtils includes tools for IP address management, switch port mapping, and network monitoring, all covered under the single hourly rate.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how OpUtils makes it easy to monitor switch ports and IP address usage in one place. The port mapping and device discovery features are especially helpful for day-to-day network troubleshooting and management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels a bit outdated in some areas, and the initial configuration can take time to understand, especially when setting up detailed monitoring and alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us track IP address usage and monitor switch ports more effectively, so we can quickly identify unused ports, connectivity issues, or conflicts. This saves time during troubleshooting and improves overall network visibility and control.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to setup and switch ports related device can be tracked and managed with it's best in class designs, which improves network operations and performance. This is especially beneficial for big networks. It's has a user friendly interface,according to our users. This make it useful for IT workers with different level of competence. It also can be customised according to user needs inorder to match their requirements.And we generally use this for rouge device detections and overall network device monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mac address lookup function needs improving,quite a lot of devices appears with no information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made management, monitoring and troubleshooting quite efficient. The downtimes have been minimal since our tech team gets prompt notifications. The issues are easier to sort out before they become problems.Also, the UI is pretty intutive and the way information is presented is quite a nice.

What do you like best about the product?
We are useing ManageEngine OpUtils from last 2 years and it is very useful to me as well as my organization and it monitor and manage IPv4 and IPv6 address , subnets and supernets in real life. It is very easy to Implementation in customer enverinment and it is very frequency to use and very easy to integration with other ManageEngine Product and always it is supportive to customer for his query and reqirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are using ManageEngine OpUtils from last 2 years but we are facing when we open or login the application it is little bit confusing and its showing some accurate data and if some thing worng with switch scan and its just fails to scan the SNMP credentials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Optils is helping to Scan IP address to determine their availability using an advanced IP Scanner and it is very benificial to auto discover which is useful when we add few resorce into the network with dynamic IP address.
