
Overview
TAVR is a Transcatheter aortic valve replacment procedure.
A TAVR procedure is considereded a minimally invasive procedure to replace a valve in the heart between the atruim and ventricle. The procedure is typically done under fluorscopy using contrast dye. There is typically a pre surgical work up done with specific software that can measure the joint for proper valve sizing. This is important when placing the valve to ensure their is no leakage around the valve once placed.
