Stream MMC uses one pricing dimension: the number of cameras. You pay per camera, and your total scales directly with how many cameras you connect. There are no lookup limits tied to each camera. To add more capacity, you add more camera units. This makes your cost predictable based on camera count rather than image or processing volume. Each camera license can process live feeds around the clock. For video files, one camera license covers a set number of hours per month, so more footage requires more camera units.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one camera unit for billing?
One camera unit is one connected video source or IP camera feed that Stream processes. Each live camera you connect counts as one unit. To monitor more cameras, you add more units. Your total cost tracks directly with the number of camera feeds you run.
How does billing work when I process video files instead of live camera feeds?
Each camera license processes live feeds around the clock. For stored video files, one camera license covers up to 30 hours of footage per month. If you have 90 hours to process monthly, you need three camera licenses. So video volume drives how many units you buy.
Does the number of plate lookups affect my cost per camera?
No. Stream pricing is per camera with no lookup limits. Each camera unit processes an unlimited number of plate reads. Your cost depends only on how many cameras you connect, not on how many vehicles or plates each camera detects.
