You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run this software on. Each dimension matches a specific instance size, so your rate scales with the compute capacity you choose. Smaller instances like t2.micro carry lower hourly rates, while larger instances such as x1.32xlarge carry higher rates. You are not locked into tiers or plans; you select the instance that fits your workload and pay only for the hours you use. More compute power means a higher hourly charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What exactly am I paying for with each hourly instance type like t2.micro or m5.large?
Each dimension maps to one running AWS EC2 instance of that size. You pay the software rate for every hour the instance runs. The instance type sets the compute, memory, and capacity available to the integration software. You pick the size that matches your workload.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges. You may still owe underlying AWS storage or resource fees for stopped instances, but the software meters running hours only.
Does the hourly rate cover the number of users or Salesforce and QuickBooks connections?
The rate is set only by the instance type and hours run, not by user count. Adding users connecting one Salesforce instance to one QuickBooks organization does not change your hourly charge. Your bill depends solely on which instance size runs and for how long.
