OpenVidu Single Node COMMUNITY CloudFormation
This CloudFormation template deploys a fully configured OpenVidu Single Node COMMUNITY instance on AWS. The template provisions a single EC2 instance with the pre-built OpenVidu Golden AMI, sets up security groups for HTTPS, WebRTC, and optional SSH access, and configures all required services automatically. At launch, the stack generates secure credentials stored in AWS Secrets Manager, provisions TLS certificates via Let's Encrypt, and configures S3 integration for application data and recordings. Built-in observability is provided through Grafana dashboards. Parameters allow customization of instance type, domain name, certificate type, and SSH access restrictions.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
Version release notes
Added a private subnet and an Application Load Balancer to the architecture diagram, both clearly marked as not used / not deployed by this template, to address AWS Marketplace review feedback (AUDIT_ERROR). No changes to the CloudFormation template or product functionality. AMI copied to a new AMI ID as required by AWS Marketplace (duplicate AMI ID not allowed across versions).
