Cost Intelligence AI Server for AWS is a preconfigured server that helps you connect AWS CUR 2.0 Data Exports, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena so you can validate your billing data pipeline and query live AWS cost data in a ready to use environment.
Cost Intelligence AI Server for AWS is a preconfigured AWS Marketplace AMI designed to help customers stand up an AWS cost data environment faster.
This server gives you a ready made foundation for working with CUR 2.0 Data Exports, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena without having to build the server stack from scratch. It is designed for teams that want a quicker path to validating AWS billing data delivery, checking service connectivity, and querying live cost and usage data from a prebuilt instance.
After launch, customers attach an EC2 IAM role, connect the instance to their AWS billing export location, create or point to an Athena database and Glue crawler, and complete the setup process. Once configured, the server can confirm that AWS cost data is flowing correctly and can return live Athena query results from the customers billing export data.
This product is best understood as a setup, validation, and query server for AWS cost data. It helps reduce the time and effort required to assemble a working environment for CUR 2.0 and Athena based billing analysis.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. The software price is the same across sizes; your cost changes with the compute capacity you pick. Options include burstable t2 and t3 instances for lighter or variable workloads. The m6i and m6id families cover general-purpose needs, with m6id adding local storage. Within each family, sizes scale from large up to 32xlarge, so hourly cost rises as you choose more CPU and memory. Pick the instance that matches your workload, then pay only for the hours you use.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for each hourly instance charge?
You get one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. The instance type sets the CPU and memory you receive. For example, t2 and t3 are burstable, while m6i and m6id are general-purpose. The m6id types add local NVMe storage attached to the instance.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
The software meters only the hours your instance runs. When you fully stop or terminate the instance, software charges stop. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for stopped instances, may still apply separately. The hourly software price accrues only while the instance is active.
Does moving to a larger instance size change the software price I pay?
The software price is the same across all sizes within this listing. Your total hourly cost rises because larger sizes use more compute capacity, not because the software rate changes. Sizes scale from large up to 32xlarge. Pick the size that matches your workload.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
