    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    Usage instructions:

    1. Launch the instance

      • Subscribe to the product in AWS Marketplace and launch the AMI.
      • Choose an instance type suitable for Docker workloads.
      • Ensure the instance has a public IPv4 address.
    2. Security Group (required inbound ports) Configure the instance Security Group inbound rules to allow:

      • 80/tcp (Web UI)
      • 8000/tcp (API) (required for login and application functionality)
      • 22/tcp (SSH) (allow from your IP only not 0.0.0.0/0)
    3. SSH access Connect to the instance using the EC2 key pair selected at launch: Username: ec2-user Port: 22

      Command: ssh -i <your-key.pem> ec2-user@<PUBLIC_IP>

    4. First boot - automatic startup On first boot, the instance automatically starts the full application stack (Docker Compose). Wait 2-5 minutes for the services to initialize.

    5. Access endpoints (exact URLs) Replace <PUBLIC_IP> with the instance public IPv4.

      • Web UI (DCS): http://<PUBLIC_IP>/login
    6. Application login (DCS credentials) On first boot, the instance generates a unique admin user and random password.

Retrieve the credentials via SSH from: /opt/dcs/dcs-credentials.txt

    Example: sudo cat /opt/dcs/dcs-credentials.txt

Use the printed DJANGO_SUPERUSER_USERNAME and DJANGO_SUPERUSER_PASSWORD to log in at:

    http://<PUBLIC_IP>/login

If login fails, the most common cause is missing inbound rule for 8000/tcp in the Security Group.
