Overview
CygNet is launched on AWS services EC2, RDS for SQL Server and S3. The CygNet Configuration course includes direction for students on how to launch these services on AWS. Additionally, the CygNet Configuration course teaches students how to add new devices (RTUs, PLCs) to the system, set up control commands, define scanning (polling) schedules, add tags, setup alarm and history reporting and define notifications (callouts).
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to add remote devices and communication devices to the system; map uniform data codes to data elements; view the bytes sent back and forth from a device or on a communications channel; set up commands to retrieve data from a device and to remotely control a device; define polling schedules; create data tags and specialty tags (alarm roll-ups, communication statistics, facility information); define alarm setpoints, history reporting, and scaling; setup email, voice, and paging notifications; and create HMI screens including templated screens.
Duration: 3 days Prerequisites: Use of standard Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel. RTU/PLC experience preferred.
