Amber analyzes your current VMware environment and delivers a clear, data-backed migration path to AWS. This includes an initial target architecture, a mapping of your VMware services to their AWS equivalents, a 3-year financial analysis with ROI, and a migration plan with timeline. As part of the analysis, Amber also determines whether your workloads qualify for AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) funding.
The engagement runs in three stages:
Assess. Using AWS tooling, Amber gathers and examines how your VMware environment is used: licenses, infrastructure, virtual machines, networking, storage, and dependencies. Operational logs are collected and analyzed to understand workload patterns, resource utilization, and potential bottlenecks.
Architect. Amber maps your workloads to their AWS equivalents, designs the target architecture, and builds a detailed report with usage, costs, optimization opportunities, and recommended actions, along with a total cost of ownership model for running on AWS.
Act. When you decide to move forward, Amber's AWS experts lead the implementation of the recommended migration and modernization, applying Cloud Native and serverless best practices.
