The main steps for a typical modernization are:

• Discovery of business and technical priorities for the application.
• Detailed discovery of the application and current infrastructure, ensuring agreement on key priorities for changes and key attributes of the current infrastructure that should be preserved.
• Re-architected cloud infrastructure design. This is customized for your needs, ranging from serverless (Lambda, API Gateway) to containerized (EKS/Kubernetes) to traditional (VPC, EC2, ALB, RDS) - or a hybrid as appropriate.
• Modification or complete rebuild of CI/CD tools and processes.
• Infrastructure-as-code development for the cloud infrastructure, baking in universal encryption and defense-in-depth firewall/security group restrictions, and other aspects of the new infrastructure design.
