Accelario Database Virtualization gives agile teams autonomy to move faster with a self-service portal that generates virtual test data environments with the click of a button. Virtual databases are managed like code and can be version controlled, rewinded back to previous data states, replicated and shared across teams, provisioned and refreshed as part of the CI/CD pipeline, without consuming extra storage. With Database Virtualization, development, integration, bug reproduction and testing are accelerated.

This is the free version of the Virtualization Module, so the software itself carries no charge. You pay only for the AWS EC2 instance you run it on, billed per hour. The dimensions are compute-optimized instance types from the c5, c5a, and c6a families. They scale by size, from large through 18xlarge, with more vCPU and memory as the size grows. Choose the instance that matches your workload; larger sizes handle heavier database virtualization needs. You can start and stop instances as needed, since billing is hourly.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to a compute-optimized AWS EC2 instance type in the c5, c5a, or c6a families. Sizing runs from large to 18xlarge. Larger sizes add vCPU and memory. You are billed for the instance size you launch, per hour it runs.
Software charges are zero, since this is the Free version. Hourly billing applies only to the running AWS EC2 instance. When you stop an instance, the hourly compute charge stops. Underlying AWS storage for a stopped instance may still incur separate AWS fees.
Larger sizes provide more vCPU and memory to handle heavier virtualization workloads. The module creates virtual databases from a golden image and refreshes them on demand. Bigger workloads, more virtual databases, or many concurrent teams point toward larger sizes. Lighter testing needs fit smaller sizes.
