    Semantic ISO 20022 Transformation

     Info
Automate SWIFT MT and legacy-to-ISO 20022 migration with a multi-agent solution that maps messages bidirectionally, validates business semantics beyond syntax, and recommends corrections with confidence scores before processing—routing only genuine exceptions to human review. Designed for faster migration, fewer payment repairs and rejections, and audit-ready compliance readiness.

    Overview

Modernize Payment Message Transformation and ISO 20022 Migration:

Banks continue to run multiple SWIFT MT, flat-file, and proprietary messaging formats, and migrating them to ISO 20022 is slow, error-prone, and regulatory-sensitive. Field-level mapping loses the rich payment data ISO 20022 requires, most engines validate syntax but miss business-semantic violations, and non-compliant messages drive rejections, repair queues, and penalties. This professional services offering delivers a multi-agent solution that converts legacy messages to ISO 20022, validates business meaning rather than syntax alone, and proactively explains and corrects issues before downstream processing. The result is faster migration, fewer repairs and rejections, and audit-ready compliance readiness with lower migration risk.

    Multi-Agent Transformation Framework:

Six specialized agents run in sequence across the transformation lifecycle. A supervisor agent owns workflow sequencing, agent coordination, and audit-trail management. A message classification agent identifies payment type, scheme, target ISO format, and country variant. A mapping and transformation agent converts MT, flat-file, and proprietary messages bidirectionally into pacs, pain, and camt formats.

A semantic validation agent then executes ISO business rules, CBPR+ rules, market-practice checks, and data-consistency validations, while a correction recommendation agent explains failures, suggests fixes, highlights impacted fields, and attaches confidence scores. A regulatory compliance agent applies FATF, Travel Rule, and sanctions-field requirements, and a reporting and audit agent produces migration dashboards, compliance reports, and audit evidence. Low-risk messages proceed automatically through straight-through processing, while uncertain scenarios and genuine exceptions route to operations teams with full context.

    Business Capabilities:

Convert SWIFT MT, flat-file, and proprietary formats to ISO 20022 (pacs, pain, camt) Support bidirectional MT-to-MX transformation across multiple message types Classify payment type, scheme, target format, and country variant automatically Validate business semantics beyond syntax, including CBPR+ and market-practice rules Explain validation failures and recommend corrections with confidence scores Apply regulatory requirements including FATF, Travel Rule, and sanctions fields Route low-risk messages through straight-through processing and exceptions to human review Produce migration dashboards, compliance reports, and audit-ready evidence

    AWS-Native Architecture:

Built on AWS, the solution runs on a governed agentic platform. Amazon Bedrock provides foundation models and guardrails for classification, mapping, and correction reasoning, with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and AWS Step Functions orchestrating the sequential agent pipeline and AWS Lambda running deterministic mapping and validation logic as tools, so transformation is reliable and traceable across stages.

Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) stores inbound message batches, transformed outputs, and audit evidence, with AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda executing high-volume batch transformation in parallel across the agent pipeline. Amazon OpenSearch Service retrieves rule sets and comparable prior cases, and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL holds transformation state and the append-only audit log. Message and scheme integrations arrive through Amazon API Gateway and Amazon EventBridge.

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) enforce least-privilege access and encryption, while Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, AWS Security Hub, and AWS Control Tower deliver observability, audit logging, and multi-account governance. The architecture is modular, event-driven, and designed for enterprise-grade resilience.

    Highlights

    • 50–70% reduction in mapping effort
    • 30–40% fewer payment rejections
    • 20–30% higher straight-through processing
