Docker on CentOS is a great solution for deploying sandbox and production environments

    Reviewed on Jun 21, 2023
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Virtual environments (Containers) can be spun up and down quickly and without directly compromising the local host. There is a massive community of available containers and supporting documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Viewing logs through the command line can sometimes be annoying. It doesn't replace the need for a full-blown Virtual Machine, but definitely serves its purpose well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Docker to spin up sandbox environments while developing applications. I can then easily test and develop my software before deploying it to a production environment. I also use Docker to run multiple self-contained services on the same host without greatly / directly compromising localhost security.

    Usage of Docker on CentOS

    Reviewed on Mar 15, 2023
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
With the help of Docker, we can easily containerize any kind of application and deploy it without worrying about any deployment issues, along with this, it also supports multiple applications and microservices. It is also very easy to install Docker on CentOS, just by running a few commands
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I have observed with Docker on CentOS, it is hard to maintain a large number of containers and to solve this thing, we can make use of Kubernetes on CentOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Docker highly helps in turning applications into Docker images, these images can be deployed as containers without any infrastructure issues. Also, we can easily scale the applications when there is high load on the application.
