What do you like best about the product?
The Fortigate firewall has good features like application control, advanced persistent threat protection, Web and content filtering, IP reputation, integrated WLAN controller, intrusion prevention system, data loss prevention and antimalware.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the firewall is not easy on scalability and sometimes gets stuck on GUI due to disk error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using this firewall, we have identified unauthorized login threats and prevented the hacking.

Have a helpful web interface, and the firewall configuration was more accessible than other firewalls.
You can create a VPN by using a simple wizard that simplifies the time.

There have been some failures in inspecting all the traffic SSL.
We don't have the granularity to app control because when we have to give access to a user for one app, you must create a new firewall policy and create a new web filter profile and app profile, this accomplish and increase the number of firewall policies.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can create a secure SDWAN that increases the availability of internet connections, and this is helpful because we can drive the application traffic with more priority.

User Interface is very good and simple to use.
Web filtering feature is awesome.
Fortigate UTM works wonders and has been very helpful in securing the perimeter of our infrastucture.

The OS upgrade process is very tedious and needs to be simplified.
High availablity failover process takes long time about 4-5 mins, this can be improved to take the mininum time.

Fortigate is very helpful in providing secure perimeter to our organization. The traffic is thorougly verified and UTM features are very good. It is very flexible firewall.

Tired of Constant Price Increases
What do you like best about the product?
It's a good product. It does the job. Simple web interface. Uses custom CPUs for their workload.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a good product. It does the job. However, the company I work for got tired of the constant price increases. Fortinet increases its pricing every quarter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple interface. The WiFi controller is built into the FortiGate Appliance, a big plus. Lets us know quickly about needed patches and firmware upgrades.

For lower-end devices, the renewal price is somehow high. It's cheaper to buy a new device with a new subscription often.
