Kaltura is and has always been the perfect media platform partner for a school
What do you like best about the product?
I've had the pleasure of helping maintain our College's relationship with Kaltura for well over 10 years. It's an extraordinary platform and a terrific company, and I must say that I've never been disappointed by their products or their support. That's saying a lot because I'm particular. :-)
As a College, our business is teaching and learning, not media, not media production, not distribution, but Kaltura, through the amazing, deep integrations they offer with several learning platforms, is a worthy, intuitive, powerful platform, well accepted by our faculty.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm unsure how to respond to this question- my experiences with Kaltura and the platform are overwhelmingly positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A smooth, seemless integration of video in online course deliveries.

Internet outages. Not being able to control all porions of software updates.

Kaltura Video Cloud checks all of the boxes and continues to innovate and exceed our expectations.

As a long term customer technology changes and evolves so quickly that it can be challenging to ensure that we are doing and using tools the most efficiently and effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kaltura Video Cloud enables us to publish, store, manage content in one place and achieve our omni channel delivery goals.
Ease of management, applying permissions
What do you like best about the product?
Again, ease of management, applying permissions, ease of use.

Occasional pause at beginning of video playback; embed code is sometimes difficult to use

Delivering video to students is easy, we like the analytics to know if students have watched videos, and we are leveraging video quizzes
Kaltura Video is a wonderful addition to Ironplanet quest for high performance
What do you like best about the product?
Accessing videos on any device, with Kaltura, is a breeze. Having different format videos available readily gives a high satisfaction for our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Use of APIs to access or delete is a bit cumbersome. Currently, only Python or Java wrappers can call the APIs. Would love to see if they can be used with simple curl commands.

Fast video downloads on multiple formats (Laptops, Android, iOS)
Solid SaaS Video platform with many years in business
What do you like best about the product?
Pretty much everything: from the system itself, how it was designed and perfected over the years to adapt to users' needs, adding more and more functionalities, while keeping everything working well and smooth, the UI, the customer support team, everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
In recent years more competitors came onto the market. Kaltura should keep an eye on what they are bringing in, and adapt faster (including their prices) to the new environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When students in certain courses needed to submit video assessments that instructors must grade and moderate on a private virtual space, I used Kaltura's MediaSpace for that. I liked the versatility and ease of use of the system.
When on a video shoot we had to record the screen, instead of using the OS's native tool, I prefer Kaltura Capture for the ease of use and instant backup function.

Great video servicing integration into Canvas
What do you like best about the product?
Kaltura has come light years ahead of where they were.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit complicated to update everything to the newer player (now that their new player is more accessible).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing educational media and then streaming it to online classes. It works much better now than in the past.

There are some limitations and consistent updates, so it can be hard to keep up with

we switched over from a different LMS and customized kaltura to our needs which has worked really well so far. It looks a lot sleeker and more professional as well
Learning All About Kaltura
What do you like best about the product?
It integrates with LMS's well and it's user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes integrations will have "hiccups", but that could mostly be because of differences in device and software (browser) options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a quick and easy way to both instructors and students to create and leverage video content.
