AI-Powered, Stable Test Automation with Fast Creation and Scalable Cloud Execution
What do you like best about the product?
What appeals to me most in Testim is the ability of the software to use the capabilities of AI in test automation, making the testing more stable and less brittle for dynamic web applications. There will be fewer cases when tests will need maintenance because of changing UI elements that usually happens in case of automation with other tools.
A good feature that should be highlighted is that with Testim it is possible to create and execute tests in a very short period of time, which comes handy when dealing with the environments when releases occur frequently, such as fintech or deep tech.
The other advantage I'd like to mention is that Testim supports cloud-based test execution and has the capability of scalability.

What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback would be that although the low-code method is very useful in terms of time efficiency, it might become a limiting factor for testing that requires a lot of customization.
Another thing would be the cost associated with TestCraft, especially when compared to other open-source tools for automation testing. The price can be somewhat high for smaller companies. The third drawback would be that it can be quite difficult to figure out the reason behind the failure of certain tests because AI-based locators might play a role.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major issues associated with test automation is the instability and difficulty of maintenance that comes with the territory. In rapidly evolving applications, such as those found in the field of fintech or deep tech, even slight changes to the UI can lead to issues for traditional scripts and impede the deployment process. Tricentis Testim's innovative approach to element recognition and smart locators ensures increased stability, allowing us to spend less time troubleshooting and more time increasing test coverage.
In addition to this, Testim has allowed us to streamline our testing process significantly and integrate seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines. This represents a significant step forward in terms of accelerating our release process and ensuring greater efficiency.

Easy way to build reliable automated tests
What do you like best about the product?
Testim makes it surprisingly easy to create automated tests without needing a lot of complex setup. The visual editor is very intuitive, and the AI-based element locators help keep tests stable even when the UI changes. It’s great for teams that want to start automating quickly without spending weeks configuring frameworks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the debugging process can take a bit of time when a test fails, especially in more complex flows. The pricing can also become a factor for smaller teams as the test suite grows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testim helps us automate regression testing and catch UI issues before releases. This saves a lot of manual testing time and gives the team more confidence when deploying new features.
Tricentis Testim Review
What do you like best about the product?
UI and end to end automation is very easy and fast to build and maintain. It saves a lot of time because you can record test and play them back without much effort. The tool handles changes smartly, integrates well with slack and jira/Trello, allows reuse of test steps, and the support team is fast and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI could be easier to use, and for complex scenarios you sometimes need to write custom code. There isn't full visibility into all network logs, some tests can be flaky during reruns, and the pricing feesls a high
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It greatly reduces the effort needed to maintain automation. we were able to set up automation much faster than with standard selenium, which helped us release faster and achieve better test coverage.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently manually testing a Salesforce application, which is time-consuming. Testim helps replace the manual process and delivers faster test results.
proprietary trap
What do you like best about the product?
The sales pitch about the holy grail of record and playback is totally impressive, however in reality it's only useful 50 percent of the time, the rest of the time you have to spend it fixing the gaps that the tool doesn't fix. . The reality is that the tests do not heal themselves under any circumstance, neither with AI nor ML or image deeplearning or any other fashionable tool, they can try but always sacrificing more time and not necessarily obtaining the expected result.
What do you dislike about the product?
The generated code cannot be exported. The integration with github is unidirectional, that is, you can only import information from github to testim. You can't change provider.it is difficult to create custom components. the tests created are fragile and do not always work (flaky test). many results are generated as false positives. Currently it is not a scalable solution for mobile devices, for now it is only possible to use your own mobile devices. Code reuse is not easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the fact of avoiding writing code
It has not benefited me at all, since I need to create even more complex code to fill in the imperfections and deficiencies of testim, so every time I give effort and knowledge which is hidden for anyone else who might need it.
