It’s difficult to forecast DBU costs. Would be very helpful to have better modeling tools.

I have recently started using databricks and love how the databricks autoloader and workflows works

I think sometimes managing the infrastructure can be complicated

Our team extensively uses databricks and use the data lake storage and ETL techniques on a regular basis
Databricks as a product is extremely useful and learning is fun

I like the most how portable it is and support to all different kinds of programming languages

Workspace UI can be better and easy, navigating between different features could be better

It is solving our Data governance and security with unity catalog and also helping in Federated lakehouse, though there are few issues with compute, overall have good experience

The platform is as close to a one-stop shop for Data and AI in the industry, with nothing but solid delivery and a commitment to innovation.

Some new rollout might take time to adapt to.

We needed a platform that provides governance, warehousing and ML for our organization. Users are able to find and leverage data easily, while we are easily able to maintain security of said data.
Very easy platform to use with an efficient workflow orchestration

I like the fact that we can easily onboard workflows on the platform and perform heavy workloads with ease

It's a bit tricky to setup and also requires some knowledge on cluster configuration
