What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about GoAnywhere MFT is its strong emphasis on secure, automated file transfers, complete with detailed audit trails. The platform streamlines complex workflows by offering seamless integration with a variety of systems using APIs and connectors. Its centralized management console allows for straightforward monitoring and control of all file movements. In summary, GoAnywhere MFT significantly improves security, compliance, and efficiency when it comes to enterprise data transfers.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect I find challenging about GoAnywhere MFT is that the initial setup and configuration process can be quite complicated, especially for those who are new to the platform. Although the interface offers robust features, it often appears outdated and is less user-friendly than more modern solutions. The licensing fees can also be a significant burden for smaller organizations. Furthermore, resolving some integration issues may demand advanced technical knowledge or assistance from the vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GoAnywhere MFT addresses the challenge of securely transferring files among internal systems, partners, and cloud environments. By removing the reliance on manual file sharing or less secure methods such as FTP, it helps maintain data privacy and supports compliance requirements. The automation of file transfer workflows not only saves time but also minimizes the risk of human error. In summary, it enhances operational efficiency, strengthens security, and increases the reliability of data exchange processes.
Excellent Option for Managing Internal and External File Transfer
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented GoAnywhere MFT as our file transfer solution to manage both external vendor communications and various internal processes. Because of our transfer requirements, we handle several thousand incoming PDF files each day, and GoAnywhere offered a straightforward way to ensure all these files are directed to the correct locations for our business operations. For more routine tasks, creating jobs is simple, and the auditing features give us clear visibility into the activity on our transfer server at any time. We also chose to deploy the MFT server and gateway to facilite external connections through a static IP provided by Azure allowing for high avallavbility accros our data centers. In the past year, we had one support incident during a upgrade that the GoAnywhere team was able to quickly resolve over the phone and get our environment work.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that we would like to see an additional feature is the ability to browse a partner SFTP server when testing. Luckily due to feature set of GoAnywhere, I've created a job that emails the directory listing or contents of a server so we can review and determine what connections we need to make.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We chose GoAnywhere to address two main business challenges, and over time, we've discovered even more ways to use the product. At first, our primary need was to handle a large volume of PDF transactions and organize them into specific internal locations. We also required an SFTP server so our partners could securely upload and download files, as well as run scheduled jobs. In addition, we've used GoAnywhere to streamline several internal processes, with scheduled internal jobs leading to further improvements.

I appreciate GoAnywhere MFT for its robust security features and the ease of use that makes managing sensitive data a breeze. I also value the seamless integration with our ERP system and cloud storage, which boosts overall operational efficiency. Additionally, the notifications and alerts feature is extremely valuable, providing real-time updates on file transfers, allowing my team to promptly address any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see improvements in the user interface for workflow visualization. While it's highly functional, making it slightly more intuitive and visually streamlined would help new users to get up to speed even faster and simplify complex workflow management.

The setup process was the simplest I have experienced, with no hidden processes, making it easy to customize necessary features. The feature which I like most about it are its strong and ease API integration support and automation capabilities within development workflows.
Not only this, but it also allows me to schedule and monitor my file transfer on daily basis with custom scripts.
Also its easy installation and well structured interface make it simple to configure complex workflows and make our frequent use comfortable.

I platform is feature-rich but still there are some areas of improvement when dealing with complex large files.

Its comes exceptionally great features to work but its customer support response could is recommended to reduce as there is a frequent lag in response.

What do you like best about the product?
Automated file transfers allow me to avoid relying on multiple products and scripts to manage our processes. Like inbuilt scheduler to run workflows, automated email alerts and file processing when done.
Has secure cloud file transfers and can also connect with web apps i use like dropbox and salesforce.

What do you dislike about the product?
At first, implementing the software was challenging, and most workers struggled to use it. However, as time went on, it became easier for everyone to adapt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have experienced security issues in the past, but with GoAnywhere MFT, all our files are now secure. The platform allows for easy file transfers without any restrictions, which has made our workflow much smoother. Additionally, the automation features have helped us save a significant amount of time.

The automation and scheduling features are the biggest upsides. They save a significant amount of time by eliminating repetitive manual tasks, and the logging/audit trails are very useful for tracking and compliance reporting.
