AntMedia helps in healthcare
We are using AntMedia streaming for our product VR Vitalis Pro that is used by physiotherapists during rehabilitation sessions. Thanks to AntMedia, physiotherapists can see what patient see in VR headset and navigate him/her. We change the streaming form Unity to AntMedia and we are satisfied. Thank you.

Perfect balance of abstraction and power
What do you like best about the product?
Ant Media allows more customisation than typical CPaaS solutions, but handles the under-the-hood WebRTC work, allowing engineering teams to focus on more valuable application-specific features.
For me, it's the perfect balance — we can tweak low level things and access the raw streams if we want to, but we don't have to.
Some of the best parts of our Ant Media experience have been:
- The ease of deploying on AWS
- The cloud portability
- The ease of scaling
- The ease of integrating with other systems
- The plug-in architecture (easy to extend funcionality)
- The support offered by their engineers

What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing really that I dislike about it.
The only potential downside (which you're unlikely to come across and might not be a downside if you have the skills), is that the source code is Java.
You won't even notice this in normal use, but it just means that if you want to write your own plugin, you'd need to do that in Java. Java's a good choice of language for this kind of thing, though, and Ant Media's team will probably help you if needed.
For the vast majority of use cases, you won't need to write your own plugins. Ant Media already does what most people will need 'out of the box' ,with SDKs for JavaScript, Flutter, Unity, React Natvie, iOS and Android. They also provide pre-made plugins for some pretty cool stuff, including Tensorflow analysis — so you're unlikely to be writing your own unless you have very specific applications. And if you do, Java's a pretty good choice to work with.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ant Media allowed us to develop our proof of concept within weeks rather than months. It provides powerful WebRTC features within a very elegant scalable architecture that allows us to easily access raw streams for analysis and processing for our application's specific needs (which are to do with large crowds).
Amazing tool for live-streaming
What do you like best about the product?
Ant Media server allows me to use vMix, Yolobox and Owncast in conjunction. I have an event coming up and I did a few tests, the videographer has camera with Yolobox Pro to live stream, however I have a few of my own NDI cameras. Due to this, the tested solution is Yolobox to locally hosted Ant Media Server to vMix to Owncast. vMix already has the other NDI cameras as more of the inputs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The community edition of Ant Media Server has quite a bit of lag which affects the live stream latency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Yolobox -> vMix
Our schools using Ant Media Server

Antmedia has been a perfect solution for our school with its videoconferencing solution, it has allowed us to maintain full control of our classes and infrastructure to provide better attention, 100% recommended, a reliable solution that is easy to use and implement. we are able to stream and share also our clases into multiple social networks and maintain our students and parents with all they need for his kids and share with our followers, we think main features we recommend are live stream into multiple social networks, conference solution for any event or implementation and all can be controlled by api helping us to implement any feature we want.
What do you dislike about the product?
as platform we cant complain maybe we need help with more developers to help new features to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a school and we use Antmedia to provide live classes to our students. using live conference on our own infraestructure, these help us with control of video, control of privacy, get our own infraestructure and implement new features at a good price.
Excellent Product with Outstanding Customer Support
We have been using Ant Media Server for a while now, and I’m extremely impressed with both the product and the team behind it. The server performs efficiently, offering great streaming capabilities, but what truly sets Ant Media apart is their exceptional customer support.

Trusted part of our pipeline
What do you like best about the product?
Well-presented, trusted part of our daily client review workflow for a little over 4 years. Does exactly as advertised and is one of the few products that I genuinely look forward to updates for. Customer support is effective and friendly. Price is very reasonable. Roadmap is spelled out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation could be slightly better in places. Installation on some distributions, where GPU acceleration is required, could be slightly more straightforward. Little to complain about though, generally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ultra-low latency, GPU-accelerated ABR video delivery. While quality is a factor, low latency is the primary focus, and AMS comfortably delivers it.
Fantastic Product and Support
The software is stable, efficient, and easy to implement. It has extensive documentation covering all possible aspects.
The support team is extremely quick and available to assist customers with live sessions where they truly help with the complete solution.

What do you dislike about the product?
- In the beginning there were problems with some video formats sent to the stream. But with tech support offered solutions
- At the moment there is no graphical interface to start scheduled streams
- Sometimes streams just stopped. But we haven't found the reason yet, more likely just a rare bug
