LiFT Review

  • December 09, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being a recipient of LiFT Scholarship I admired the opportunity that the platform gives to students/beginners by providing eLearning training course, and one (1) certification exam registration at no cost.
Based on my experience with CKA course, it was great and relevant hands-on focus for getting kick-start.
What do you dislike about the product?
The certification might be more expensive than the more widely recognized certifications and the preparation for actual exam might need more external research and practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting head start into a beginner certification of choice is easy. The lesser expensive courses can be chosen during their great sale times during the year. It has lab exercises to help you warm up for the field you are opting for (Kubernetes for me) and I like the course distribution as it was not overwhelming.

Linux Foundation Training delivers great and niche content not found on other learning platform

  • December 08, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Linux Foundation training delivers a very niche and diverse catalog of learning content which includes both free as well as paid courses.

The training content is usually includes the right amount of depth to not overburden the learners as well as vet the appitite of the learner to go on explore more on the training topics on their own after the course is over.

The training is usually a right mix of text-oriented content and also contains demonstration video recordings. Recently Linux Foundation has come up with a subscription based model for the entire on-line learning catalog rather than learner having to subscribe to and pay for individual courses themselves which would be very expensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quite a few of the free learning courses cover the topics at a rather high cursery level. It would be good if the free courses would go a bit deeper into the content being covered. The paid courses have the right amount of coverage and depth of the topics being covered in the paid courses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Linux Foundation Training is helping me upskill and crossskill and be ready to tackle the challenging assignments at work. I am in a customer facing role at my company and my interactions with those customer ususally covers a lot of technical problem solving across a very wide range of technical domains and tools. The training courses provided by Linux Foundation helps me be ready to talk to these customers with confidence and help them modernize and improve their existing and new applications and services.
