What do you like best about the product?

AD Manager is one of the easiest programs I’ve worked with. It’s very intuitive, and the interface is simple to navigate.

What do you dislike about the product?

As with all programs, there is a small learning curve. But it is easy to test a new feature even without a test environment. Those changes can be reverted quickly if you decide not to use them.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest issue we face is user account creation and modification. These tasks are done weekly and sometimes daily. To create an account, we just choose a template for the person's job title, type in their name and identification number, and the account is created and grants the user all the access they need. Modification of user accounts is just as simple. We type in the identification number, choose the user, select the job template, and the user is modified with new permissions and moved to the correct OU in Active Directory.

What do you like best about the product?

While ManageEngine Plus has a clean user interface with logical flow, what I like best is its reporting. It does a great job of slicing and dicing information from Active Directory and giving me multiple ways to make it useful and clean. It's my go-to for auditing of AD and providing reports.

What do you dislike about the product?

The least helpful thing can be the upgrades. While they aren’t difficult, they sometimes involve multiple steps, and it’s not always as simple as clicking next, next, finish.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a requirement to provide auditable reporting of my users, groups from Active Directory, and Manage Engine makes this simple. Additionally, it does a great job of allowing me to update and change in bulk information. Lastly, it really gives me peace of mind with its optional Backup feature. I have used it multiple times to restore accounts and settings of users the helpdesk has accidentally deleted.

What do you like best about the product?

ADManager Plus makes it easy to identify inactive computers and automate AD reporting without spending time on PowerShell.

What do you dislike about the product?

Updates and service pack installations still require manual effort. A more streamlined upgrade process would be welcome.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The automated reports help us identify inactive systems and AD User changes and reduce the time spent manually reviewing Active Directory or trying to find things ourselves. We had a very messy AD and it has helped us clean it up.

What do you like best about the product?

We use ManageEngine ADManager Plus to automate all operations that involve Active Directory within our environment. We use it from the very beginning in our onboarding process. It is simple to set up different types of profiles for different types of employees. ADManager Plus automatically configures everything from their display name, email configuration, group lists, and licensing. After setup, ADManager Plus allows my team to manage users in any way we wish, making account changes a thing of simplicity.

What do you dislike about the product?

The program itself is somewhat clunky. It doesn't have as modern a feel as some other programs. This doesn't detract from the usage of the program, which is still very effective. However, when things are a bit more modern it makes it a joy to use.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We decided to use ManageEngine ADManager Plus due to the compatibility it had with our systems. We run a hybrid environment and ManageEngine ADManager Plus was the system that fit into our infrastructure the best. It also provides the most opportunity for growth in the way we want and does not require us to build on systems we are not yet ready to implement.

ADManager Plus has made our daily AD tasks much easier. User creation, password resets, group management, and bulk changes can be done quickly without much manual effort. It is easy to use and saves a lot of time for our team.

What do you dislike about the product?

There isn't much to dislike. It would be great to see more automation options.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

ADManager Plus has simplified our day-to-day Active Directory administration. It helps us with user creation, password resets, group management, and bulk updates, saving a lot of manual effort and time.

What do you like best about the product?

One of the key strengths of this tool is its ability to delegate administrative tasks efficiently without the risk of overprovisioning access.

What do you dislike about the product?

I honestly can’t find anything to dislike about this tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to delegate tasks helps us lighten the workload for our admins. And because there’s an audit trail for everything done in the tool, we can review actions easily without losing accountability.

What do you like best about the product?

Active Directory reports. Being able to modify multiple AD objects at the same time. Create AD objects using pre defined templates

What do you dislike about the product?

The application is a bit slow when querying domain controllers.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main benefit is that it saves time for the IT team, reduces repetitive administrative work, and helps us standardize how user accounts are handled. It also improves accountability because we have better visibility into technician activity and changes made within the system.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate the reporting feature in ManageEngine ADManager Plus. With just a click, I can get reports that would take days with other tools, and ADManager gets it done in minutes. It's incredibly time-saving when I need to find out how many licensed users we have. It provides the information I need about who has what licenses, which helps me make decisions about Microsoft suite systems.

What do you dislike about the product?

Exchange online and M365 reports are limited. I know they have another product for it called M365 plus, but if they can bring some of the audits to it, it will be great. Also, through templates, it can improve human errors.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use ManageEngine ADManager Plus for account creation, modification, and reporting. It saves time and costs by simplifying licensing audits, providing quick access to reports that other tools take days to generate.

What do you like best about the product?

ManageEngine ADManager Plus is great at helping technicians manage Active Directory, I especially like all the bulk management abilities as well as generating defined reports on our environment

What do you dislike about the product?

Sometimes, performance on the server can be somewhat slow. It is also not cheap even though I believe it has a lot of value. It would be great if there were even more integrations with other third party IT tools.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use some of the automation features that automates an entire workflow, such as onboarding new users, as well as integrating our HR system UKG into Active Directory and importing value from UKG. It also allows us to manage our O365 environment much easier by using hybrid user groups synced to O365.

What do you like best about the product?

ADManager plus simplified our onboarding workflow and ensured nothing is forgotten.

What do you dislike about the product?

The upgrade procedure could be simplified.
