What do you like best about the product?

I like the visibility in a great format and dashboard without a lot of manual effort. The alerts, reporting, and audit trails make it much simpler to investigate changes, monitor account behavior, and support compliance requirements. Initial setup was quite easy, and we did it by ourselves without any extra implementation service. The support was helpful when we needed assistance.

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing in particular to report. Overall quite satisfied with the solution.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use ManageEngine ADAudit Plus to monitor and audit Active Directory and Entra ID, providing audit trails, alerts, and reporting. It enhances compliance, troubleshooting, and security monitoring. The easy-to-use dashboard gives great visibility with minimal effort, simplifying compliance and security management.

What do you like best about the product?

The centralized visibility into Active Directory activity is the biggest strength. ADAudit Plus makes it easy to track things like logon/logoff history and quickly respond to internal audit or security requests without having to pull data from multiple sources.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main limitation is that it can take some time to fully understand and optimize all of the available features during initial setup. While onboarding is straightforward for core use cases, there’s a learning curve if you want to take advantage of more advanced capabilities or integrations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

ADAudit Plus is solving the challenge of quickly accessing reliable Active Directory audit data, especially for user activity like logon/logoff history and account-related events. Before implementing it, gathering this information required manual effort across multiple systems, which was time-consuming and inconsistent.

What do you like best about the product?

Lots of canned reports, very customizable for other reports and alerts.
I use it to keep track of what users are making big file changes and deletions.

What do you dislike about the product?

Can have a steep learning curve for making custom reports and alerts, BUT the tech support is VERY helpful and responsive when I have run into issues making my own alerts.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It keeps an eye on user file share activity, Domain Admin activity, and users being added to high risk groups. I'll get emails when these happen. These and other alerts I have setup keep me informed about my large enviroment.

A big issue for me I keeping an eye on file share size and managing who is using the most space. ADAudit tracks who is creating new, and copying files.

The product is accurate and easy to use.

I would like to see continued research and development into this product.

It aids my staff in identifying stale accounts, locked out accounts and potential security risks.

ADAudit Plus provides clear and detailed audit logs, making it easy to track Active Directory changes and user activities. The interface is user-friendly, and the real-time alerts help identify security and compliance issues quickly.

Performance can be a bit slower when working with very large environments and when handling historical data.

ADAudit Plus helps us monitor Active Directory changes, track user activity, and receive real-time alerts for critical events. This improves security, simplifies troubleshooting, and supports compliance requirements.

What do you like best about the product?

We use ManageEngine ADAudit Plus to monitor and alert on all of our Active Directory instance. we have 4 production instances and 4 test/dev instances covered. ADAudit Plus is especially helpful with compliance related tasks as well as monitoring and alerting on sensitive groups, users, and other changes to Active Directory. It's easy to use and a great tool for the price point.

While there are many canned reports available, there are limited options for custom reports.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Compliance monitoring and reporting is much easier.

What do you like best about the product?

I like being able to report on failures, which is useful for tracking log-in issues. The interface is mostly understandable, which is helpful for navigating through the software.

The upgrade process is fiddly.

I use ManageEngine ADAudit Plus to track log-in failures and ensure customers know when their staff are logging in or losing access.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus is the ability to quickly pull many different types of reports and easily find the information we need when conducting investigations. It makes it much easier to review user activity, track changes, and identify important details without having to spend unnecessary time searching through logs manually.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area I would like to see improved in ManageEngine ADAudit Plus is the reporting around Microsoft 365/O365. While the tool is very useful for Active Directory auditing and investigations, the available O365 reports feel more limited compared to what is available for on-premise AD. Having more detailed and flexible Microsoft 365 reporting would make the tool even more valuable, especially as more services continue moving to the cloud.

ManageEngine ADAudit Plus helps solve the challenge of quickly finding and reviewing Active Directory activity during investigations. It gives us visibility into user activity, logon events, account changes, group membership changes, and other important security-related events that would otherwise require more manual effort to track down.

What do you like best about the product?

The intuitive dashboards and the comprehensive reporting make infrastructure oversight easy.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is so much to learn, it can feel overwhelming. The product truly requires an investment in time and effort to get the best value.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I oversee a SaaS infrastructure that is primarily Windows-based. ADAudit Plus allows me to review all the changes being made, as well as report on user activity. This combination of tools and capabilities has helped my small team to operate like a much larger enterprise.

What do you like best about the product?

There are so many things I like about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus that picking one could be a little difficult. However, the overall ease of use of the product is one of my favorite things about it. Installation wasn't hard. Upgrading isn't hard. The automation basically makes the product hands-off, and lets you focus your time on day-to-day tasks, all while knowing that ADAudit has your back and is keeping an extra set of eyes on your Active Directory environment. It also isn't very resource-heavy, so you can always find a server to install it on and not worry about having to take a performance hit.

What do you dislike about the product?

I can't really say I dislike anything about ADAudit Plus. It's lightweight, it does what it needs to do and does so quite well. If anything, the product can be a little intimidating, due to the number of things it can keep watch over can be overwhelming for admins that are a little younger in their careers, but if you do your research and know what you'd like it to report on, it becomes less intimidating.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As with many smaller companies, the IT department is a little understaffed, and everyone wears multiple hats. As such, a product like ADAudit Plus is helpful in that, once it's been set up, can report things to the admin team via scheduled emails, which means that you're reading a set of reports in the morning as you start your day, which takes the look out of manually checking your Active Directory logs. It also can notify you about potential account exploitation, which is nice. When we come in, we already know who tried to log in outside of their normal hours, who was unable to log on (and why), and who changed their password, created AD accounts, etc. It's very useful and presents the data in pleasing reports that have just the right amount of data, and a line count so you can see if the report is empty and not waste time on it. Overall, it's granted us better visibility into our AD environment, and you don't have to spend time logging in, unless you need to drill down deeper.
