Providing Real-Time Inventory and Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
Our Dealers are able to see real-time inventory and specific pricing for them. This saves hundreds (if not thousands) of phone calls checking on part availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing to dislike about this. We have next to zero issues with the integration and it works day in and day out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has solved the issue of CSRs being overloaded with phone calls asking about part availability.

The main reason where we are today was thanks to QAD !
What do you like best about the product?
QAD Adaptive ERP made provided a easy to use platform that a intern can use easily and efficently. QAD provided great customer service and was always there for any hickups we came across.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont have anything negative to say regarding this product. This is a great tool for any company ready to scale up and grow properly. QAD gave us the guidance to succeed!

In a business very focused with the on going supply chain issues throughout the world. QAD provided the insight we needed to manage our global supply chain and helped us find bottlenecks and quick solutions to supply chain issues

What do you like best about the product?
QAD was a very robust software with functionality for alot of the normal accounting functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface was terrible, some tasks were very inefficient due to the amount of manual effort required to process tasks (e.x. shipping and receiving tasks)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems solved were creating financial statements and operational reports which were used internally and externally

Find a different ERP if you want to have an efficient workflow and more customizable reporting.

Log-in credentials are not linked to the AD account of the users which is not desirable

QAD ERP & QAD QMS - Product that rivals any package available.
What do you like best about the product?
Versatility within QAD ERP allows business to take their individual business processes and easily fit QAD to support, from Fixed Asset Management to Managing thousands of customers via their rich Service and Support Module. Having one System to enable Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Global Supply Chain and Customer Operations eliminates the need for costly bolt on systems as well as an extremely low cost of ownership relating to Business Analysts and IT infrastructure. It's User Interface might not be the most sexy to the e-suite, but they don't use the system. Functionally rich system and allows quick uptake relating to user adoption is the key strength of QAD ERP.
QAD Support Services are a strength, compared to other ERP Vendors, you can pick up a phone, live chat, submit web based support tickets and even utilize their knowledge base for software questions as well as business use scenarios, cutting direct support costs but more importantly cutting time to solve your individual challenge.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although every system has it's drawbacks, there is not one system that fits all. If one improvement was needed I would suggesting focusing more attention on integration and product robustness with regards to QAD's QMS (Cebos) system as Quality and Regulatory is a large concerning within my industry (Pharma) it becomes extremely important this offering becomes more focused in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the QAD Partners, we have been able to solve many business challenges, the Core QAD ERP has enabled us to become nimble operation, with Manufacturing - mixed mode, process and Global Supply Chain. QAD's womb-to-tomb lot and serialization provides a level of insight to all product lineage. We have mobile (iPhone, etc.) automating our Purchase Requisitions, Field Support Engineers and soon the entire global clinical group will be utilize QAD as it's system of record. Our total time to implement was shorter than I've experienced with any other ERP products, thus moving our operation forward to support customers and the business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Reporting and Dashboards are cute, but functionally what is important for an ERP System, quick access, easy data entry, and ability to retrieve data to make business decisions, for these objectives, QAD has always hit the mark, and hit it well.

What do you like best about the product?
QAD is a solid ERP system with many components required to maintain our regulatory compliance with the FDA. they have a team of visionaries that pay very close attention to industry trends and ensure they keep up with what is required in the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
if you run QAD as a SaaS solution you do not have direct access to your servers to make changes. I don't know if this is a dislike as much as it is a preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we were able to bring our entire business model from Sales Order creation to Revenue recognition under one piece of software allowing us to streamline our processes to ensure we were working more efficiently.

Know your business processes inside and out before you look, this way you ensure you are getting the most out of the product.
QAD ERP Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
QAD's commitment to enhancing and improving the user's ability to utilize the software to manage their enterprise by allowing the customization of the screens to adapt to user rather than the user adapting to QAD.
What do you dislike about the product?
QAD's nomenclature from screen to screen are different however it is actually the same data. example would be price lists and discount tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use of the MSW/PSW has streamlined our schedules to accurately gauge our metrics. We are moving to utilize the metrics within Net.ui. The power of users to get data using the browse functions. More information, more positive trends to manage our enterprise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Move to EE version on the cloud.
QAD is in reality an ERP system not a multi purpose system which we are trying to use

Probably the only comment is that all platforms including CRM,ERP and Sales tools are on the same platform.

This includes quotes, credit history and previous sales history coupled with the CRM PROFILE which does provide a potentially reasonable overview

What do you dislike about the product?
It is inflexible, costly to customise and very limited in our revision in terms of Internet interaction.
Also has a menu structure that is insanely large and some of the menu descriptions don reflect the actual function. Also a comment on the CRM. It is far to structured and difficult to manoeuvre around in the various profiles and address requirements to be of significant benefit to sales teams.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Probably limited solutions at this time but mainly interaction between sales history and product forecasting is one of the better ones. Additionally the turning of quotes into sales orders is basically a single function solution so very useful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be mindful of what you are trying to achieve. In its own right QAD is probably a very good ERP solution. However it suffers when you try to add sales functionality and CRM to it.
