High-Performance Firewall with an Easy-to-Navigate UI

    Reviewed on May 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The firewall has a great UI that’s easy to navigate. It delivers high-performance throughput for VPN, concurrent sessions, threat prevention, and more. While it includes onboard storage for caching logs, it still integrates well with legacy log collection systems such as Kiwi Syslog. they are also on the leaders magic quadrant
What do you dislike about the product?
Their pricing is steep and is separated into different parts, such as a DNS subscription, Threat Intelligence, and more which can make it a bit complicated to understand and manage. Support is provided via a reseller and not directly with Palo Alto in my region. There are no AI capabilities present on our firewalls, or maybe we dont have a license for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were not able to protect our environment from the edge layer, and we also didn’t have central visibility into all the traffic flowing across the network. In addition, we lacked threat intelligence to help us combat new, sophisticated threats.

Solid, Secure Palo NGFW with Robust Features and Easy Management

    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Palo NGFW is a solid, secure firewall. It’s easy to manage and offers a wide range of features that make it very robust. In particular, I like the ability to add dynamic object lists, since that lets us integrate it with some of our other systems and better safeguard our network at the edge. The monitoring capabilities also provide good insight and troubleshooting into the traffic that flows through the firewall.
What do you dislike about the product?
The depth of the available features can feel a bit overwhelming and complicated at times, but overall there isn’t much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Palo Alto NGFW has helped us secure our network at the edge, and it also provides added monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities that make it easier to pinpoint network issues and address security concerns.

What do you like best about the product?
I find the Usermapping and UserID features on Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls very helpful for monitoring and knowing what users are actually doing. The Application Control feature is also valuable as it allows me to control each user specifically in an access policy to a specific destination and manage the applications they're trying to open. The firewalls have great capabilities for inspections and controlling, which solves complex inspection issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I couldn't create manual user groups with integrated users from LDAP.

What do you like best about the product?
I think most firewalls see the traffic but palo alto's firewalls have detailed view of who made that traffic where and when. you can create rules and manage that very well, for example you can enable a website but block some unwanted features of that site

i think the most annoying thing is the dcoomit what from the config menu, it can take from 30 seconds to 5 minutes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
as i said before traditional firewalls see general traffic but palo altos cand se more details and leave you so you can configure just the way you intend for your business
