What do you like best about the product?

What I like most about Cartesia is how easy it is to experiment with its AI voice features. I especially like the voice library because it offers a range of voices, accents, and languages to choose from, so it’s simple to find something that fits. I also appreciate the voice agent setup and the pronunciation controls. Being able to test these features on the Free plan makes it a solid option for trying out voice ideas before spending money, and it helps me plan my pricing budget accordingly. Also Ui/UX is so smooth to understand that i walkthrough each and every page and it was self explanatory.

What do you dislike about the product?

I dislike about cartesia is that I got little bit confused at frist because different features use credits differently. every feature has diffeernt credit usuage for some its by character , while other have on time , etc which is like i cant guarantee when tokens get consumed by how much.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The pronunciation problem is what Cartesia is solving for me. It enables me to create a custom dictionary, which is really useful when using AI voice that needs to correctly say product names, categories, and division/vendor names in our use case. For example, “Bud Light” sometimes gets pronounced like “bird light,” and this helps prevent that.

The Voice Agent section was another strong part of the platform. You can create an agent and connect things like instructions, tools, and a knowledge base, which was a lifesaver. That way, when customers ask questions, we can be more confident the AI won’t hallucinate.

the cost of the solution is very high if used at a professional level even for the pro model

What do you like best about the product?

As a PM overseeing our automated support workflows, latency is the biggest bottleneck we face with voice AI. Cartesia's Sonic model essentially eliminated the awkward pauses in our voice bots. The sub-200ms generation time is noticeably faster than other major providers we tested for our stack.

What do you dislike about the product?

The core API is solid, but the developer dashboard and usage analytics are still pretty barebones. When I'm trying to pull quick reports on token usage or track down specific error spikes during peak operation hours, I usually have to rely on our internal logging rather than getting a quick visual from their UI. Also, fine-tuning custom voices requires a bit more trial and error than expected to get the pronunciation of industry-specific terms exactly right.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are building out real-time conversational agents to handle initial tier-1 customer support queries. Cartesia solves the "uncanny valley" problem of slow, monotone AI voices. The primary business benefit has been a noticeable drop in caller hang-ups during the initial bot routing phase, purely because the voice sounds natural enough and responds fast enough that users don't get immediately frustrated.

What do you like best about the product?

I use Cartesia to translate papers from Spanish into English. In comparison to the other tools such as Claude and other AI tools, I believe that Cartesia is the quickest in terms of rapid translation. I would recommend this app among a few others for those who are bilingual or learning multiple languages.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don't have anything negative to say. Maybe an expansion of languages you can translate from/ a few more voices?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Right now I use Cartesia for articles that are not translated online. I read a lot in English and Spanish and this helps me learn more throughout the day. Overall, the software runs great and is quick. Also, you can utilize their free features before paying more for additional features.

What do you like best about the product?

Cartesia actually has one of the best Gen AI TTS services out there. The voice actually feels too natural and not robotic at all. The latency is also negligible. UI/UX to try and test the voices is much friendly for even a beginner. The accessibility of Cartesia to be integrated with tools like LiveKit, etc. makes it all the worth of its cost. Moreover, their support and customer success team makes it too easy to onboard.

What do you dislike about the product?

No such things to dislike but if you are a bit shorthanded on cost side of things, you can try other alternatives out there.

Cartesia is making our Voice AI agents feel natural and make it a lot User friendly, rather than most of the agents out there who are a lot robotic.

I also appreciate that the token amount is decent, which makes it easier to experiment and use the product without feeling too limited right away.

What I dislike most about Cartesia is that it currently feels limited in terms of integrations. It would be more useful if it connected more easily with other tools or workflows I already use. I also think the reprompting experience could be improved, since it does not always feel as smooth or effective as it could be when refining outputs.

Cartesia helps me create tutorial voiceovers and product demos more efficiently. Instead of spending extra time recording and editing narration myself, I can generate clear, professional-sounding voiceovers that fit the content I’m creating. This makes it easier to produce demos and instructional materials quickly, while still keeping them polished and easy to follow.

What do you like best about the product?

In my work as an AI technical evaluator benchmarking LLM applications, what stands out most about Cartesia—especially the Sonic model—is its state-of-the-art text-to-speech engine. I regularly test API low-latency performance, and Cartesia consistently delivers ultra-fast audio generation with exceptionally natural prosody.

The developer dashboard also makes it easy to manage API keys and evaluate voice models without unnecessary friction. Since my projects require rigorous testing of SDK integrations for Python and JavaScript, Cartesia’s clear documentation and responsive support help me onboard quickly and maintain reliable, high-performance results for real-time voice agents.

What do you dislike about the product?

In my work evaluating AI models and testing API performance, Cartesia clearly excels in raw speed, but its voice selection is still smaller than that of legacy providers like ElevenLabs. I’ve also found that the credit-based pricing can scale up quickly when running high-volume benchmarks or streaming longer audio outputs. In addition, during long-form synthesis or when using expressive voice controls, tone consistency can occasionally drift unless I add explicit IPA markup or spend time tuning parameters.

In my work evaluating AI models and benchmarking API latency, Cartesia helps address a major bottleneck in conversational AI: high audio latency. With its Sonic model, it delivers sub-90ms streaming text-to-speech generation, replacing the traditional multi-second response delays with more natural, real-time audio output. In my workflow, this reduces awkward pauses during voice agent evaluation, which noticeably improves user engagement and makes two-way conversational AI feel more fluid and human-like.

The feature I appreciate most in Cartesia is its smooth incorporation into existing creative workflows. It’s quick, and generates good results consistently. It also provides a simple enough UI to allow users of different skill levels to use it, which is great for teams.

Nothing as of yet. We are in the early stages of using the platform.
