What do you dislike about the product?

Speech-to-text controls come with technical words that can not be grasped without further research for someone who is not necessarily familiar with. I believe that the quick help pop-ups could be optimized.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I appreciate the all-in-one interface which looks comprehensive to get introduced to a concept that once felt too technical for me: "voice agents". I feel confident exploring this solution.

What do you like best about the product?

The best thing I like about this Cartesia platform is it stands out very much precise on designing for real-time conversational AI rather than having a traditional text-to-speech kind of generation. And the speech generations are taught almost instantly, making the conversations feel more natural when compared with other voice AI platforms. I also do like that it combines multiple capabilities right from starting text to speech and speech to text on voice cloning and other voice agents all under a single ecosystem. The voice quality sounds very realistic while maintaining the very low latency, which is particularly valuable for customer support bots and AI assistants. The APIs are well-documented and the developer experience is also straightforward for integrating voice functionality into existing applications.

What do you dislike about the product?

Although the platform performs very well technically, it's more focused on the developer focus then creative focus. Also, sometimes without programming experience, we might find this platform bit complicated unless approachable than consumer-oriented AI voice tools. This platform also offers many advanced configuration options which can feel overwhelming initially but more no-code workflows and additional visual tools for building voice applications make it more easier and broader for our audience. For a highly customised conversation workflow, there is still a learning curve which needs to be worked on this platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

This platform helps us solve one of the biggest challenges in conversational AI by reducing the latency while maintaining the natural sound speech and instead of users waiting for several seconds for AI response and conversational feel much more fluid because speech generation and transcription happen in our real time, and this also improves the overall customer experience for Voice Assistant and automated support. This platform also simplifies the development by providing voice generations and transcriptions all under an agent's capabilities through a unified platform instead of requiring to hogging upon multiple platforms.

Fast, natural-sounding AI voice generation with very low latency. The API is easy to integrate, and the voice quality is consistently impressive. pricing is also decent.

Documentation could be more detailed for advanced use cases, and I'd like to see more voice customization options.

The platform performs well overall, but the selection of voices and the breadth of language support could be expanded. I’d also like to see more granular controls for voice emotion, pronunciation, and speaking style to improve customization, especially for more specialized use cases.

It helps reduce latency, improves the quality of AI-driven conversations, speeds up development, and delivers a more natural user experience across customer service, virtual assistants, and other interactive voice applications.

The voice generation happens almost instantly, so there’s no awkward lag during real-time conversations. And unlike a lot of fast text-to-speech tools, it doesn’t come across as a flat robot—its emotion, pacing, and tone sound natural and genuinely human.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main downside I noticed is that the voice library and non-English options feel fairly limited compared to older competitors. Also, you sometimes have to manually tweak the emotional settings, since longer blocks of text can occasionally flatten out and lose their tone.

Cartesia addresses the huge latency and awkward lag common in traditional voice AI by replacing heavy transformer models with state-space models, enabling audio streaming. For me, that translates into being able to build real-time voice agents that feel fluid and natural, so callers aren’t talking over each other or stuck waiting for responses.

I like how you can copy and paste text into the form and from here you can choose how your ai will sound like, so it's very good for setting up presentations. There are also a wide variety of voices to choose from each one having its own personality and the quality is actually quite good

What do you dislike about the product?

I found it quite hard to use as there are so many options and buttons to click and choose from within the user interface. I was take aback quite a bit when I was using this and I felt overwhelmed as I found the U.I too much for me. Overall quite confusing and I had to use guides to see how to navigate through it

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Once I finally figured it out, the main problem it was solving was to put ai voices over my presentations so give it more of a professional spin. I had it so it would have a conversation with me while I was presenting

What do you like best about the product?

What blew me away is just how insanely fast this thing is. The lag is basically nonexistent. If you've ever tried building a voice bot before, you know that awkward, robotic pause where the AI takes a second to "think" before it talks. Cartesia completely kills that—it starts speaking the absolute millisecond a sentence finishes.

The control you get over the voice is also wild. It doesn't sound like a generic, monotone robot. You can actually tweak the emotion, speed, and energy to match whatever vibe you're going for—like making it sound genuinely excited or totally calm and professional. Plus, it naturally handles tricky things like phone numbers and weirdly spelled addresses without tripping up or pronouncing them like a broken computer. It just sounds real.

What do you dislike about the product?

The biggest headache is how much you have to fiddle with the sliders to make it sound natural. Even though it's incredibly fast, the voices can easily default to sounding a bit flat or robotic unless you spend a ton of time manually tweaking the speed, pitch, and emotion settings to get the vibe just right.

The language selection is also pretty limiting. It only supports around 15 languages right now, which is a massive wall if you're trying to build a truly global app or need to handle diverse regional accents. Plus, the developer dashboard still feels really bare-bones—tracking your usage and predicting your exact costs can be a guessing game.

The biggest thing Cartesia fixes for me is that painful, awkward pause you usually get with voice AI. Before this, my bots would sit there in dead silence for two or three seconds just trying to process the text before speaking. Cartesia streams the audio almost instantly, which finally makes a voice chat feel like a normal, fluid phone call with a real person. It also naturally nails tricky things like phone numbers and acronyms right out of the box without me having to write annoying phonetic workarounds.

When it comes to integration, it was surprisingly painless to hook up. Their API is built for streaming from the ground up, so I just plugged in my key and set up a WebSocket connection. It also plays perfectly with real-time frameworks like LiveKit, meaning I didn't have to tear apart my existing backend infrastructure just to get ultra-low-latency voice running smoothly.

Cartesia is very easy to use. I'm using it for speech-to-text transcription using their Ink. The perfomance and reliability is quite good.

Nothing as of now. It has a lot of useful features, and I’m finding them genuinely helpful.

It transcribes my voice notes into text quickly, which solves my speech-to-text needs. This is helpful because it lets me keep a written, transcribed version on hand whenever I need it.

What do you like best about the product?

I started using Cartesia because I regularly need AI voiceovers for videos, and I wanted speech that sounded natural without spending a lot of time editing. The voices have a smooth, conversational tone, and generating audio is quick enough that I can test different scripts without slowing down my workflow. I also like that the pronunciation is generally consistent, so I spend less time re-recording or fixing small issues before adding the audio to my videos.

What do you dislike about the product?

The available voices are good, but I would still like more options for different speaking styles and emotions. Occasionally I need to adjust the wording of a script to get the delivery I want, and longer voiceovers sometimes require a little extra fine-tuning before they sound exactly right.

I mainly use Cartesia to create AI voiceovers for explainer videos, product showcases, and short social media content. Instead of recording my own voice every time, I can turn a finished script into clear narration within minutes. It helps me produce videos faster, keeps the voice quality consistent across projects, and makes it easier to update narration whenever the script changes.
