What do you like best about the product?

The voice quality is exceptional—it sounds natural, smooth, and genuinely human-like. What impressed me most was the speed: the audio generates almost instantly, with no noticeable lag. I tried it with different types of content—presentation scripts, training walkthroughs, and announcements—and the results were consistently clear, with solid pacing and intonation. The playground also lets you test everything directly in the browser without any setup or API key, which makes evaluating it effortless.

What do you dislike about the product?

The voice selection is high quality, but it feels smaller than what some competitors offer. There’s also limited control over emotion or speaking style—you can’t easily make the same voice sound excited versus calm without rewriting the text itself. The free tier comes with generation limits, and the pricing details for higher usage aren’t immediately clear on the site.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed a fast way to generate voiceovers for internal presentations and training videos without having to record the audio myself. With Cartesia, I can paste in my script and get broadcast-quality speech back in seconds. The low latency also makes it practical for real-time use. Overall, it has replaced my manual recording workflow and saved me a lot of time on content that doesn’t need a personal touch.
