Excellent BI software which caters for all our needs
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to rapidly build reports and dashboards with meaningful metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be slow to edit reports etc. due to loading times.

What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty easy to use, visually it looks good.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's absolutely no improvements to the core functionality, there are requests that have been up for over 10 years and have been requested dozens if not hundreds of times and they ignore it, instead they add bells and whistles nobody uses or cares about and that barely work. The support is a nightmare, the job of the tech support seems to be for people to leave them alone, they ask for 10 zoom meetings and for the logs over and over for something that doesn't warrant it, when it's broken in whatever system or configuration you run it, after you go through the hoops of the multiple zoom meetings and submitting logs over and over again it doesn't get any better, because then they just never get back to you or they get back to you several months later asking everything from scratch. The worst is that the application goes progressively slower the longer you use it, going from milliseconds of opening a view or just the browse page to 10+ seconds, and although we've complained about it and have asked for solutions for years, from various different contacts, there has been 0 help. Something is rotten with the configurational database of Yellowfin, there are a lot of inefficient nested queries and missing indexes and as soon as it gets under a heavier load (multiple people creating, updating, deleting, copying reports, editing views etc) the performance goes out of the window. You can't rely on something if the browse page takes 10 seconds to open alone, and there's absolutely no solutions/suggestions provided, we were ready to try anything, switching OS, db engine, whatever, but nothing.

What do you like best about the product?
The expansive ways one can create dashboards, run reports, dive into all types of disparate data, and create graphs and charts on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dropdown menus are great until they become rabbit holes. It would be nicer to have more finite ways to have less generalized filters. That said, this that may be a feature addressable at launch and/ or the way your organization is set up, but nonetheless, my world. The other improvement I see is with the graphing and charting. It would be nice to have more options around the infographics and charts, but this may be something to address during implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to see the raw and finite data across our client base is amazing. The breadth of the info available is also incredible.

It's new and have some good functionality and options to view the data is multiple ways.

Nothing as of now. But would be good if we can make suitable for other then analytics and bi.

First of all, the I sight we can see out of this tool us very good. You can have multiple ways to see the depth of your data with business insights.

Have experienced slower pace, and hangs sometimes. Formatting solution can be enhanced.

It's a good visualization tool that gives us good insight into what is hidden in your data. Cost wise also, it is reasonable compared to other tools.

Nothing as of now, but I'm looking for more marketing as it's a good product.

To see the data in all dimensions, you should go for this, which gives you a 360-degree view of your data with insight.
A tool can give multiple analysis.

Open Source Freedom. User can create his own logic.

Sub-Queries are not supported while working with database query.

Having huge data to play with, I found yellowfin bi tool is the best fit due to its scalable feature It offers a scalable architecture that can adapt according to the growth of a business. Users can scale their data usage, without compromising on performance aspects.
