What do you like best about the product?

What I like most about VAST Data is its innovative approach to managing and processing data at scale. I especially appreciate how it brings together high performance, scalability, and simplicity, which makes it easier for organizations to take on large, complex data workloads without adding unnecessary complexity.

What do you dislike about the product?

What I dislike about VAST Data comes down mostly to cost and complexity. It can be expensive to get started, and in smaller environments it can feel like overkill for what you actually need. The initial setup may also demand a lot of technical expertise, and some workloads might not benefit enough from VAST’s architecture to truly justify the investment.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

VAST Data is helping us address the challenges of managing large volumes of data while also making that data easy to access for our workloads. It provides a scalable, high-performance platform that streamlines data management and supports better overall performance. For me, the biggest benefit is having a more efficient, reliable way to manage our data without needing to juggle as many separate storage systems.

Vast Data is helping solve problems related to managing and accessing large amounts of data. It makes data storage and retrieval faster and more efficient, which helps reduce delays and makes it easier for us to work with data. Overall, it saves time and improves productivity.

What I dislike about Vast Data is that it can take some time to understand and configure, especially for users who are new to the platform. The overall solution can also feel complex compared with simpler data storage and management tools.

It makes it easier to access and organize data efficiently, supports data-intensive workloads, and reduces the complexity of managing data across different environments. This benefits me by improving data accessibility, performance, and overall efficiency.

Excellent performance and scalability, with straightforward management for large datasets. It works especially well for high-performance and AI/ML workloads, and it’s been a solid fit when handling data at scale.

VAST Data helps us manage large volumes of data with strong performance and scalability. It makes storage management simpler and gives us faster access to our data, which improves overall efficiency and supports demanding workloads.

What do you like best about the product?

VAST Data replaces complex multi-tier storage with an all-flash Disaggregated Shared-Everything (DASE) architecture, delivering archive-level pricing using QLC flash and global deduplication. Its stateless compute-to-storage design scales linearly and maximizes throughput to keep modern AI and GPU workloads fully saturated.

What do you dislike about the product?

VAST Data comes with a high entry cost and a sizable hardware footprint, which makes it impractical for smaller, sub-petabyte environments. It also depends on an ultra-low-latency RDMA network fabric to prevent bottlenecks. In addition, it feels less well suited to heavy, random transactional write workloads, especially when compared with read-heavy AI pipelines.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

VAST Data addresses storage tiering and GPU I/O starvation by bringing files, structured tables, and vector embeddings together on a single all-flash platform. By unifying these data types in one place, it reduces the need for complex ETL pipelines, helps maximize AI model training and retrieval speeds, and aims to deliver petabyte-scale flash performance with spinning-disk economics.

support for heavy GPU-driven workloads that need fast access to huge amounts of data.

VAST's pricing model is not the cheapest

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The performance-vs-capacity tradeoff in legacy architectures.

What do you like best about the product?

Vast Data is helpful when we go for data storage, it can be set up with hybrid or on-prem also, I like that it is cost-effective compared to other platforms like AWS, AZURE. It provides us a unified solution. I liked that it can handle AI/ML workloads also.

What do you dislike about the product?

QLC NAND can be more easy for setup. It will be helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves many problems like it provides unified storage, high-cost flash storage, and has good storage silos. It is cost-effective and scalable that benefits us very well.

What do you like best about the product?

Vast Data Universal Storage is best tool to grow as your data needs expand without compromising performance. It's data analytics capabilities, data tiers and data management. It is easy to use, implement and integration.

What do you dislike about the product?

According to me there is no such a big thing that I dislike about this but one thing is cost that affect the business.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Simplifying data management, scalable and easy to use structure. The main problem for me is eliminating data tiers and accelerating data analytics capabilities

one of the good product which full my requirement as well my customers requirments as well. This is the single storage system that is the fast enough primary storage. Also scable for heavy database.

What do you dislike about the product?

Somehow implementation need some technical assistance for that. pricing is also high as compare to other market products.need to work on partnership with this product.

This is the sigle storage with support huge deatabase. i can use it from anywhere i need it.it has many features and smooth interface aswell.Giving high performance and also scalable that is very much required.

Vast Data Universal Storage as its name suggests makes storing and managing data easy. It has a simple interface and customer support is good.

What do you dislike about the product?

There are no big issues to mention. Sometimes it lags may be because of connectivity issues.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Overall, my experience is positive. It helps me store my data and access my data whenever I need it. It offers many features and has a smooth interface.
