What do you like best about the product?
The courses offered by AppSecEngineer are the best way to explore the topics with practical approach, the courses are focused on handling real world challenges with a structured and practical approach. I especially like their Security Architect course and Devsecops, which covers all the major pain points faced by an organisation and prepares the learner to be ready to face challenges in real world. The courses are so well crafted to nurture all the essential to advanced skills necessary, with AppSecEngineer courses you not only learn you apply concepts practically which rewires how you think and solve a problem.

Finally Found an AppSec Course That Actually Teaches Real Skills!
What do you like best about the product?
Real hands-on labs - Finally, a course where you actually hack and fix vulnerabilities instead of just reading about them. The interactive environments are solid and you learn by doing.
Practical, current content - Covers everything from OWASP Top 10 to DevSecOps. I've been applying what I learned directly to my job. The instructors clearly have real-world experience and share actual war stories.
Logical progression - Builds from basics to advanced topics naturally. Even complex concepts click because of how they structure the learning path.

What do you dislike about the product?
Limited community - Pretty isolated experience. Would love more ways to connect with other learners or get help when stuck.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My Problem: Most security training is scattered, theoretical, and doesn't prepare you for actual AppSec jobs.
What AppSecEngineer Fixed:

How It's Helping Me:
Real skills, not just theory - I've actually exploited SQL injections and fixed them

Career progress - Getting callbacks for AppSec roles now
Time saved - Everything I need in one place

What do you like best about the product?
AppSecEngineer literally have everything a Security Engineer needs to Skill up across domains, Their wide range of courses along with labs is really easier to Understand. If some is starting out I would point them to AppSec Engineer. I have started using the AppSec Basics and Advance courses and these two are so good, I am looking forward to AI and LLM courses. They have more 1000+ discord community where you can clarify your queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular, I really like the UI and ease of accessing the course/labs.

I like how it blends practical, hands on labs with real world scenarios that are directly relevant to my work in testing, secure code review, and threat modeling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the variety of features and topics can feel a bit overwhelming, and a few advanced labs could benefit from more guided, step-by-step explanations like a walkthrough style.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps bridging the gap between theory and real-world application and provide easy to run labs to try it out ourself.
One of the best platform to learn appsec & cloud security
What do you like best about the product?
Interactive courses with practical labs that are easy to use and learn effectively. Its diverse from beginner friendly to advance levels covering all aspects of appsec. The dashboard is very intuitive with showcasing achievments like badges, completed challenges etc. The courses are up to date and wide array of courses from k8's,Gen AI LLM,DevSecOps,Cloud Sec,Threat modelling & much more. Plus it has many challenges, sandbox playgrounds, Labs etc. Plus it has curated journey for specific roles & tasks that help you achieve your goals. Overall it has been immensly helpful for me to learn effectively and also easily implement few use-cases in my current role as well. They have nice integration with discord as well for discussion with community. Their customer support is top notch and always able to address any issues if i had. The challenges and wide range of topics help me scale any hurdle in appsec learning i have. I recommend this to anyone interested to learn appsec as its easy ,fun and effective . I use it very often and participate sometimes in their webinars as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the modules or courses are pretty advanced such as Owasp or K8's. It took me a while to understand as coming from soc background but the learning path helped me align. I would love if they included like CTF's that make challenges even more fun. You need to dedicate enough time & patience to learn the skills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are wide areas of application & cloud security that either some vendors overcharge or dont have included in their modules at all and not provide for individuals. Appsec engineer is affordable and helps address this problem teaching devsecops, cloud security & adv appsec courses that enhances your skills without going through long duration bootcamps. You can choose specific topics and learn the skillset. There are challenges and labs that give practical exposure which is hard to find (for ex,GCP security). The badges upon completion of tasks helps you to showcase to your peers & manager to get good recognition within team and share your knowledge. It has also helped me identify the underlying issues and rectify them in my current company. Thanks to the knowledge i gained from here . It also has boosted my confidence to take up CTF's and learn both offense & defensive side of security. The course are up to date and new courses being added regularly helps me hooked & motivated.
Exceptional Hands-On Security Learning Platform
What do you like best about the product?
AppSecEngineer offers some of the most practical and hands-on security courses I’ve ever taken. I enrolled in AI & LLM Security, DevSecOps, Web Application Security, and Secure Code Review tracks, and each course went beyond theory into real-world, scenario-driven exercises. The labs are incredibly interactive, replicating realistic environments where you can safely test and apply security skills. The content is always up-to-date with the latest threats and best practices, and the explanations are clear, concise, and easy to follow. The platform structure makes it easy to progress from fundamentals to advanced concepts without feeling overwhelmed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The course content is excellent, but it would be great if I could create my own customized learning paths and track my progress more effectively. Everything else is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like how all the knowledge is gathered in one place in a well-structured way, making it easy to find and focus on specific skills. AppSecEngineer helps me quickly upskill in secure coding and security awareness without wasting time searching for reliable resources. The hands-on labs and real-world scenarios directly address practical challenges in application security, improving both my technical expertise and my ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in real projects.
Comprehensive Platform for Learning Application Security
What do you like best about the product?
Best part is that it offers courses to build skillsets in areas which are not being offered by many other platforms and that too the skills that are actually important and are hot topics in todays era of application security.
What do you dislike about the product?
They could maybe improve UX part of the application. Like if someone proceeds with AWS track then there are a lot of modules to start with so as a beginner what should be the ideal flow a beginner should follow in sequential manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping people upskill in skills that are required by my companies. To me it helps in learning things like Threat modelling, AWS security and other things at a central place and these are required as skills by almost every company.
Relevant and super awesome hands on training. Not a snooze fest like other training products
What do you like best about the product?
I've used other training platforms before and honestly they were very boring. Content was just slides and videos. That may work for generic security training but I was looking for hands-on training. When I was searching for hands-on AppSec training, AppSecEngineer popped up and I was skeptical at first. But once I tried it and I was absolutely floored at the level of depth in this product. Best part is that everything is taught in labs and there is some supporting content on concepts in videos.
The Labs were very realistic. Dropped me into a VS Code env which is what my teams use. And then allowed for running full attacks and then build a defence all in code. My team absolutely loved this when I showed them my account and training experience in AppSecEngineer. It also gave me neat features on training rollout. They have thought out their training admin very well. I get to do quick roll outs of specific courses to different teams with across different functions and then track their progress in an easy reporting dashboard.
A very refreshing experience to training in AppSec that I have seen in a long time. Definitely going to be using it for myself and my team.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the courses are a bit long. But those are limited to AppSec intro or very advanced topics in the product. Most courses are quite small as they are focused on teaching a specific flaw for a specific language & framework.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am finally able to get training done across my teams. Before it was quite difficult to get folks to complete it due to boring content. With AppSecEngineer that problem is gone and they give new content quite regularly. Reporting and notifications make it even more easier to manage training for me. Helps me in my yearly audits quite a bit
Easy-to-Use, Practical AppSec Training
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy AppSecEngineer is to use. The courses are hands-on and practical, which helps me learn skills I can use right away. The short lessons make it simple to fit training into my daily routine, and the content is always up-to-date. The website is well-organized, so I can quickly find what I need. Plus, their support team is friendly and quick to respond when I have questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, the number of courses felt a bit overwhelming, and it took me some time to decide which ones matched my goals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AppSecEngineer really solves a big problem for us—getting hands-on, role-specific, and up-to-date application security training. With most traditional training, you don’t get much of the practical side. But with their labs, we can actually practice in realistic environments without touching production systems. That’s made a huge difference—our team writes more secure code, we’ve seen fewer vulnerabilities, and our security maturity has jumped. Plus, because it’s on-demand, we can train our teams across different time zones without the scheduling nightmare
AppSecEngineer excels in having vast of interesting topcis which complements each other
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of different courses in different fields which makes me feel great about my security posture. In addition to that the customer service is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some videos are using AI sound which sounds wierd, I like human explanation more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently the main problem is issues in validating some challenges solutions but the customer service / support are always supportive in this point and solve the problem
