Great Software!
What do you like best about the product?
DocuClipper was very easy to use and does exactly what it advertises and specifically what I needed it to do, which was convert PDF statements to excel files. At first, I was a little skeptical on how accruate it would be to convert bank and credit card statement of various formats, but the software did great! I would say it was 98% accurate and saved me alot of time and money. The alternative would have been to hire data entry level support people to manually enter everything, which would have taken weeks and incurred a much higher cost than using DocuClipper.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I learned quickly to do was to seperate the PDF files by years ... maybe this is just my own user naiveness, but when I uploaded statements of multiple years, dates were often for the wrong years and I had to do a bunch of correction. But that was an easy adjustment to make and going forward, I had very little corrections to make.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had years of bank statement and credit card statements that needed to be uploaded into an accounting software. At the end of the day, it was close to 5000 transactions. Since these statements were older than what the bank will give electronic access to, we didn't have anything else other than what was on paper. DocuClipper saved us both time and money by helping us avoid having to hire data-entry level type of support to do the tedious work of entering each of these lines into Excel or an acocunting software.

Great time saver!
What do you like best about the product?
DocuClipper saved me literal hours during a recent bookkeeping cleanup project. I was able to import 18 months of statements for 2 different companies in mere minutes

I only canceled my subscription because I don't need it every month. I will resubscribe for future one-time clean-up projects

DocuClipper allowed me to easily & quickly import transactions from bank statements to QuickBooks

What do you like best about the product?
it reads bank statements so well. of course, you want to some quality control, but the number of transactions missed is like 1/500. and it's an online program so no installation. it's pretty magical. and it was head and shoulders above the rest of the programs I tried. all the others had tons of formatting issues that I would have needed to solve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price. We intend to use it at a law firm and we don't have a need for it continuously. Only when we have a bank statement heavy case.

Quality control issues when building and manually filling in spreadsheets with numbers from bank statements.

What do you like best about the product?
I have only used DocuClipper to convert pdf bank and credit card statement files to Excell spreadsheets. The conversion is quick and easy. One just drops the file and downloads the spread sheet.
It is much easier than fighting through the spreadsheet formating that Adobe produces as an export.

What do you dislike about the product?
Until you figure out the interface, there is a bit of guesswork about how to proceed. Better coaching for new users would be helpful.
DocuClipper occasionally will find a random number in the pdf file and put it in some random but usually unimportant place. So you need to do a quick side by side scan of the files to make sure you have what you need.

Saves HOURS of time!
What do you like best about the product?
Wow! I am so impressed with DocuClipper. Every once in a while, I work with clients on a project that involves analyzing a lot of their old bank statements. This used to be such a slow, manual process! I just tried DocuClipper and it saved me hours of time! Love this program :)
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! This is a great program and I definitely plan on using it on my next project.

Manual data entry. When I work with clients, on their accounting projects, sometimes we need to analyze their historic spending. When using bank statements to do this, it can take a long time! By letting me put bank statement data into Excel, I can now sort transactions and better categorize them. What a time saver!
Excellent way to make PDF bank statements usable
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to use DocuClipper. All you have to do is drag and drop the PDF you want to convert, and DocuClipper does the work for you. It allows you to review the converted file before downloading it to ensure that it captured all the data before you export it to the type of file you need. I was able to convert 8 years of bank statements into QBO files that would have taken me months to manually enter.
What do you dislike about the product?
DocuClipper had a hard time reading credit card and bank statements that didn't follow the traditional layout. Apple cards and some older bank statements that had multiple columns of data were difficult for DocuClipper to convert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DocuClipper allowed me to convert years and years worth of credit card and bank statements into QBO files and Excel files so that I could create a new set of books to trace transactions across multiple accounts. It would have taken me months to manually enter all the transactions and I was able to get it done in a matter of days.

It just worked exactly as it should have with no fuss or any complex configuration. Perfect

I just needed a once off job to be done but they only offered a monthly subscription although you could cancel after use .

I needed to analyse 12 months of long credit card statements in excel and the PDF statements couldn't be converted in Adobe as they had a bank password on them. Docuclipper didmthe job with ease using OCR and I had everything I needed instantly
DocuClipper is a life-saver!
What do you like best about the product?
I used DocuClipper to help me convert PDF bank statements while under the gun to prepare and submit my Tax Return. I needed CSV downloads from certain banks that incredibly didn't offer CSV downloads.
The process was excellent and up and running very rapidly.

Ability to submit my Tax Return in time. I plan to use DocuClipper for other PDF conversions.
Saved Hours of time pulling data from pdf statements
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and works very well. It saved me so much time when I had to pull data from pdf bank statements.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have a pay as you go plan for smaller businesses that don't need it continously but still need it for occasional projects. I don't need it enough to warrant the cost of the annual plan. I needed DocuClipper for one project and had to pay the monthly fee and then cancel the subscription. It would be neat to be able to have an active subscription and just pay for it as needed. I don't need the program much, but when I do, it comes in very handy and saves me a ton of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had a bookkeeping client who was unable to provide a CSV of past transactions for his credit card. He sent me statements for the time period in question, and each statement was 8-9 pages long and had a ton of transactions. I was able to use DocuClipper to export all of these statements to a CSV and import them to QuickBooks. The entire process took less than 10 minutes, including signing up for the DocuClipper account and watching the tutorial video. It was so EASY. I'm a tech person, but I think DocuClipper is very straightforward so that even people who are not as computer savvy should not have any trouble with it. The tutorial video was very clear and easy to follow.
A very unique yet needed product offering
What do you like best about the product?
I like the convenience of the product offering. It was simply a matter of uploading a bank statement and downloading the csv ready for import. It's also very affordable

Limitation on number of pages offered with the packages.

It makes converting PDF bank statements into a readily importable template into xero saving loads of time.
