Essential Tool for Fraud Document Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I use Fortiro for reviewing documents for fraud analysis, and I like that it helps me find multiple red flags like image editing, text manipulation, and graphics alteration. I appreciate that Fortiro has document analysis divided into various sections, allowing me to check each one individually or combine them for a comprehensive view. I also like how it shows clear highlights of the previous or original texts where edits were made. The initial setup was pretty easy, and we had a training session from a Fortiro team member, which was helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fortiro gives a very detailed analysis of the document. However in my daily work, I don't need very detailed stats. I use only the essentials required to analyze and come to a decision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can check if a document is genuine or forged. Fortiro helps identify red flags like image editing and text manipulation.

I like that Fortiro is constantly evolving, and the more clients use the product, the stronger it gets. Its weighted-based rules help me understand what is notable rather than just identifying red flags, which is important to differentiate what truly is fraud from what is not. The initial setup was pretty easy, not via an API, which was convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a rule identifies an AI-generated image, I would like more specific indications about why it's considered AI-generated rather than a general descriptor. It's tough to tell since the images look so real. I prefer to have a breakdown pointing out what's off in the photos and the reasons, so I can make a more informed assessment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fortiro helps us identify fraudulent documents submitted by bad actors. Its weighted rules help me discern what is notable and understand what is not fraud versus what truly is fraud.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Fortiro because it greatly improves efficiency and reduces fraud. It gives me confidence that documents submitted with loan applications are genuine and not modified, which reduces the need for additional verification. I also appreciate that Fortiro is constantly evolving, with new rules and enhancements being added regularly. This ongoing development makes it a valuable service that stays ahead or in line with the constantly changing lending landscape, providing us with comfort and security. Additionally, the initial web browser setup was very easy, and we were able to start using it within a month.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use the reduction service at the moment but that's only available via API. If that was available via the web browser like some of the other services are today, that would be a better use case for us.

Fortiro is used for income assessments, fraud detection, and redaction services. It enhances efficiency by reducing the need for additional verification and providing confidence in document authenticity.

Fortiro is a useful additional tool in fraud investigation. While it is not the 'be all and end all' it can help support any existing suspicions that you already have regarding documents presented by potential customers.
There is also more potential for use as a front-end tool built into an automated loan decisioning API. This is already being implemented in the industry and seeing some success but will need further refinement to provide real benefit.

What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a lot of 'noise' and false positives provided by the system. It requires significant oversight in this way and often does not give any insight into documents.
It struggles with certain document types; however the reviewer notes this is being improved upon by the developers.

There have been real use cases where it has identified potentially fraudulent documents and triggered further investigation, ultimately leading to confirmation of fraud by an investigator.
Outstanding Service and Powerful OCR Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The service levels, continuous enhancements and the document OCRs ability to recognise multiple files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of information sharing based on scans from across multiple tenants.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us identify fraudulent, manipulated and non-genuine documents to manage potentially suspicious and fraudulent applications. It has aided the team in identifying what aspects of a document are of concern and may need attention.
