Amazing value, powerful and easy to setup with so much customisation available
What do you like best about the product?
- Out of the box setup is simple and provides a great base monitoring platform
- Simple rule based setup and huge amount of customisation potential
- Integration with other platforms is great
- UI is super slick and very professional and intuitive
- Value for money is outstanding
- Can monitor literally anything you can think of
- Customisation potential is incredible
- Support for Ent editions is very responsive
- Amazingly supportive community and CMK Exchange containing community built extensions
- Ability to build own custom scripts and plugins is actually quite simple
- Simple rule based setup and huge amount of customisation potential
- Integration with other platforms is great
- UI is super slick and very professional and intuitive
- Value for money is outstanding
- Can monitor literally anything you can think of

- Support for Ent editions is very responsive

What do you dislike about the product?
- When stuck trying to get something bespoke or custom to work (such as a custom notification or integration) support tend to push towards purchasing additional consultancy - not a big deal to be honest give the cost of the product
- Exchange is lacking a larger selection of extensions

- Replacing 3 different monitoring systems (Nagios, Cacti and syslog)

Can be complex to configure.

Quick setup, detailed status information of hosts/servives. Easy customisable checks for own requirements like license checks etc. Good and active community

Still missing acheck for switch ports that keeps the status across a switch reboot.

Get infomration about outages/trends before the user calls

Die Neuerungen in der Version 2.2. Gerade SAML und die Cloud Monitoring Erweitungen sind sehr interessant und nützlich! Ich freue mich jetzt schon die neuen Featured bei uns einzusetzen.

Es gibt für mich keine negativen Punkte, die mir von der Konferenz in Erinnerung geblieben sind. Diese Jahr das erste mal online dabei und es hat super geklappt.

+ raw (free) version should perfect fir for small offices with various technology
+ dynamic monitoring for dynamic environments like K8,

- too many edition in 2.2 release and related increase of price for the best edition

Great Monitoring Software - easy, modular, multipurpose

The Monitoring Solution is easy to install. The basic configuration is simple, too. You can find much natively supported devices

If you have a multiple site setup with and many tags, groups, you will get a lot of rules. The rules management could be a bit clearer.

The configuration of notifications is sometimes unclear but now with the "fake" which will trigger after one click it will be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The nice thing are availability reports where you can find if any "pattern" occurs and exact times.
