What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is its centralized management capabilities, which simplify day-to-day IT operations in an enterprise environment. We use it at Tata Chemicals Ltd (TCL) for managing Windows endpoints, monthly patch deployment, software distribution, hardware and software inventory, and endpoint compliance monitoring.
The automated patch management functionality helps reduce manual effort and ensures a more consistent patching process across the organization. The centralized dashboard provides better visibility into endpoint health, patch status, and deployment progress.
I also appreciate the Distribution Server functionality, which helps manage endpoints across different locations, and the reporting capabilities, which support compliance tracking and operational decision-making.
Overall, Endpoint Central is a reliable and efficient solution that helps streamline endpoint management, improve operational productivity, and maintain better control over the enterprise IT environment.

Centralized patching and remote troubleshooting for a small IT team

What do you like best about the product?
We use Endpoint Central to manage 36 endpoints from a console. We mainly use it for patching and remote troubleshooting. Before we started using Endpoint Central we had no endpoint management tool all. That meant we had no visibility or control over our devices. Now everything is much clearer and easier to handle.
The console is easy to navigate. We didn’t have any trouble understanding how to use it. Agent deployment was straightforward too. We got all our endpoints connected without hassle. Automated patching works reliably. It runs smoothly for updates. We also use sessions often and they work well for day-to-day troubleshooting.
Endpoint Central integrates, with other ManageEngine products. That helps us manage things efficiently. When we set it up the support team was very helpful. They answered our questions quickly. Guided us through the process. We’ve saved a lot of time by cutting out patching. It’s an improvement. The cost is reasonable. The value we get is high. We feel it’s an investment.

What do you dislike about the product?
The console is feature-rich and the many menus and settings can feel overwhelming at first.
Advanced configuration, such as patch policies requires learning and involves several screens and onboarding takes time.
Pricing feels high for a fleet, like ours 36 endpoints.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Endpoint Central was introduced we had no endpoint management tool. Patching and user support were handled manually one machine at a time. Endpoint Central now gives us one console for our 36 endpoints. Automated patching keeps systems up to date without the need to visit each device, which lowers our security exposure. Remote troubleshooting lets us fix user issues without the need to go to their desks so problems are resolved faster. The main benefits are visibility, more consistent patch coverage and less manual effort, for a small IT team.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to manage all our endpoints from one central platform. I find patch management, software deployment, remote troubleshooting, and IT asset inventory especially useful because they reduce manual work and save time. The customization options are another big advantage as I can configure deployment schedules and maintenance windows based on our requirements. Overall, it makes day-to-day endpoint management much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you first start using it, especially with so many features and configuration options available, some advanced settings and troubleshooting tasks take time to understand, and the documentation could be more detailed for certain configurations. Overall, the product is good, but the learning curve and a few configuration challenges could be improved to make it easier for us to manage this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central helps us solve the challenge of managing multiple endpoints, keeping system updates, and reducing repetitive IT tasks. Previously, tracking patches, installing software, and checking device inventory were done manually, taking a lot of time. With Endpoint Central, we can automate patch deployments, manage software installation remotely, and monitor IT assets from a single dashboard. When a security patch needs to be deployed to multiple computers, we can schedule the deployment instead of updating each device individually. This saves time, reduces manual effort, and helps us maintain better security and consistency across our systems.

Feature-Rich, Modern, and Great Value with Responsive Support

What do you like best about the product?
Tons of features, modern interface. Initial configuration can be complex and time consuming but once you've got the flow it gets easier. The device system manager tools are all responsive and seem to work quite well with features such as renaming a device remotely. Remote control (at least on prem) can take a long time to establish but otherwise works quite well. Support is quick and very responsive, usually seem pretty knowledgeable. Tons of features for the relatively low cost compared to other products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Remote connection for on prem can take a long time to establish compared to other RMM products. Agents can sometimes drop offline and be inaccessible for several minutes at a time when they are not truly offline. Agent can take a long time to come back online after a reboot. Running zero touch remote deployments for images seems to not be possible when using the secure gateway server as zero touch requires agents to directly contact the endpoint central server itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote software installation, on-demand remote control for troubleshooting, reports on anything we could need to know about a PC (installed software/hardware/logged in users/uptime, etc), MDM, OS deployment

Endpoint Central: A Swiss Army Knife for Endpoint Management
Reviewed on Oct 22, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest advantage is having multiple endpoint management capabilities in a single platform, giving our technicians a centralized location for most day to day tasks. We use Endpoint Central for software deployment, patch management, remote support, inventory management, and reporting, which reduces having too many tools and improves operational efficiency. The platform performs well at scale and provides strong visibility into endpoint health, software inventory, and compliance status. From an integration perspective, we have it connected to our Microsoft environment, and it also offers integrations with a wide range of other tools and security platforms. While we have not made extensive use of the AI features yet, we see potential for future use cases as our requirements evolve. In terms of value, Endpoint Central offers an excellent return on investment. It feels like a Swiss Army knife for endpoint management, combining the capabilities of several products into a single solution. While some areas of the UI could be more intuitive, the responsive and knowledgeable support team consistently helps us resolve issues quickly and get the most value from the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main concerns are around usability and documentation. The platform is very powerful, but some workflows are not always intuitive and can take time to learn, especially for our more junior techs. Certain settings and features can be difficult to locate, especially for new administrators. Documentation could also be updated more frequently to better reflect product changes and new functionalities. Finally, because the platform covers so many capabilities, some areas feel more polished than others. That said, the responsive support team helps address most of these challenges quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While Endpoint Central is a very capable platform, there are a few things that could be improved. The user interface can feel outdated sometimes, and some administrative tasks require navigating through multiple menus before finding the desired setting. New techs may face a learning curve because the product includes so many features and capabilities. Documentation is another area where improvement would help, as some articles don't always reflect the latest product changes or best practices. Reporting and dashboard customization could also be more flexible for organizations that want highly tailored views. Finally, because the platform covers a broad range of endpoint management functions, some modules feel more mature and polished than others. That said, the responsive support team has consistently helped us overcome these challenges and maximize the value of the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
We can manage a large number of computers from a single console. Patch management, software deployment, remote troubleshooting, and system inventory are useful for our daily IT operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue we face is with patch deployment and troubleshooting. Sometimes, the patch status shown in the console does not make it easy to confirm what actually happened on the endpoints. When issues occur, getting a clear root cause and proper resolution from the support team can also take time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint Central helps us to manage a large number of computers from one place. We use it for patch deployment, software installation, and system inventory. Patch deployment and troubleshooting still need some improvement to make daily operations smoother.
