Easy Centralized Management for FortiGate Firewalls
What do you like best about the product?
FortiManager simplifies the work of a user who needs to handle more than one FortiGate firewall. In fact, I use the centralised dashboard, policy push, and automation tools a lot — they are really time savers when compared to the manual configuration of each device. The integration with Fortinet’s Security Fabric is also part of the tour de force, as it leads to better visibility over the net.
What do you dislike about the product?
FortiManager solves the challenge of managing multiple firewalls across sites. Instead of logging into each device separately, I can deploy policies, updates, and changes centrally. This reduces configuration errors, saves hours of work, and keeps policies consistent across the network. It’s especially helpful in large or distributed environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FortiManager is the answer to the problem of handling several FortiGate firewalls located in various places. The process of individually setting up devices was replaced by centrally managing policies and updates. Not only does this method save time and minimize errors, but it also ensures that security policies remain uniform - something that has a direct impact on effectiveness and compliance.

It gives great security features and easy usage when you're familiar with the environment, which provide some peace of mind.

What do you dislike about the product?
Struggled a bit with the setup, implementation took a bit of a while although the intergration was swift. RBAC could also improve.

Security and connections, firewall controls are great.

Centralized management, Hierarchical administrative domains (ADOMs) and the Integration with FortiAnalyzer

Difficult to identify the cause of the failed push without go-through the logs

What do you like best about the product?
fortimanager is a single managment console forfortigate and fortiAP , you can manage all your fortiAP (Wi-fi) and Fortigate firewall from fortimanager without accessing indibidual on any fortigate firewall of FortiAP.

connectivity issues between FortiManager and other devices and navigation issue between different tab

I think the task of adding new device pairs could be more manageable

What do you like best about the product?
We can create differents sheets for Fortigates, and we can save configs automatically, and this solution has Fortianalyzer mode for processing log from the firewalls

It's an expensive solution, and Fortinet need to get down his prices.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solution provides a sinlge plane of glass to manage all the Fortigate devices for a single platform, gives you more control and we can define standards for the configuration that you want to release.
FortiManager is excellent tool for Multi cloud and Cyber security

I found FortiManager most helpful in managing Multicloud and also the most useful and critical feature nowadays is the automation of network security policies.

none , I am still using it and does not found any loop hole in it.

It is a centralized platform like other firewalls but it's quite handy to use and very simple as compare with other vendors enjoyed working with the same.

Nothing as of now can't remember most of the commands rest all is good.

It is a centralized Management system so it's easy to use we don't need to login to every firewalls we can go directly from the fortimanager.
