What do you like best about the product?
The modularity of Spryker makes it a good choice for business. It makes it easy to turn features on and off. Compared to other competitors, the tech stack is more modern, which makes maintenance and security risks more manageable. The documentation is very thorough. The implementation went quickly and smoothly. The Spryker team was able to quickly develop to the needs of our company and handle last-minute changes. Sprykers's communication during the project was amazing. They were responsive and I never felt we were waiting for answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Modularity is a double-edged sword. Although Spryker has a lot of OOTB features, you're usually going to have to integrate with many systems. Each of these touchpoints is a point of failure. In addition, the US market is still relatively new for Spryker which required us to decide best-practice in some areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Modernizing and enhancing our current shopping cart experience. Having Spryker be the integrator has helped with development as no one knows their product better.

What do you like best about the product?
Our company is in the midst of a large-scale digital transformation with a lot of different software vendors at play. The Spryker pre-sales team offered exceptional strategic advice and brought in their solution architect to not only scope the Spryker solution but also work through a capability mapping exercise and integrations with the other vendors. They were open and honest with us throughout the process and were a very friendly team to work with. We see them being great long-term partners.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to say in this box...they were great.
The only limitation we had was that to manage the product internally we will need to recruit/contract a PHP developer, which is easily manageable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving 3 key problems with Spryker:
1. Taking some of the processing load off our ERP system, Netsuite, to speed it up
2. Handling the complexities of a franchise system to enable us to accelerate our digital presence into eCommerce
3. Deliver a highly customized Point-of-Sale system that we were not able to achieve from the many vendors we assessed

The Spryker sales and presales team have engaged with us from day one transparently and collaboratively to come to the right solution partnership. They work flexibly and cater for around the globe working hours and provide solutions that work for our company.

None I can think of this early in the engagement

We are looking to extend our sales channels to include eCommerce and provide best in class sales solutions to our Franchise partners
Spryker is a great headless E-Commerce solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the Spryker platform is divided into lots of different modules and that each of them can be updated individually based on the individual needs.
Their support is great and really quick. On every level the communication is proactive and they always have an open ear for improvements.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the mostly missing global approach. Spryker backoffice can not out-of-the box handle proper separation into different countries/roles. Also, the master data import is quite challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a great partner with Spryker and the platform helped us build a great e-commerce platform. With Spryker being headless, we could maintain our corporate look in the frontend/UI, while still making use of Sprykers capabilities.

Setting up a b2b shop to suit varying user types and ersonas

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to extend and customize the system to your particular needs. The solution is very elegant and well thought out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, now much to complain about but some things to keep in mind are since this is an enterprise-level platform, you will need a team, plan and know what you are getting into. Be prepared to have good partners with other e-commerce solutions such as search, personalization, BI, Loyalty. etc. Since Spryker is a newer platform, the integrations ecosystem is not there yet, although this is being addressed with the new Spryker App Orchestration Platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing a major platform migration with Spryker, going from a custom legacy monolithic system to a new headless composable solution. The Spryker system allows us to build our own components that are specific to our industry.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a great internal engineering team or partner with a fantastic SI. As mentioned above, some things to keep in mind are since this is an enterprise-level platform, you will need a team, plan and know what you are getting into. Be prepared to have good partners with other e-commerce solutions such as search, personalization, BI, Loyalty. etc. Since Spryker is a newer platform, the integrations ecosystem is not there yet, although this is being addressed with the new Spryker App Orchestration Platform.

It is an easy-to-use system that we successfully use and combine for our online marketplace.
A very lucrative solution that offers a lot of flexibility and features.

It brings a lot of modularity and also a clean architecture that ensures good practices.

The learning curb is a bit too steep for newcomers but after a few months of actively using it, it becomes easier to learn and adapt to it.
