What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative notebook allows me to get my students to contribute code in real-time which provides a better experience than when they have to come use my laptop
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that if I want to remove members from a collaborative workspace there is no way to remove multiple user at once
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as an interactive classroom where all students have a front row seat and every student can interact with the code

Deepnote Makes Team Data Work Seamless with Real-Time Collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Deepnote is its real-time collaboration and cloud-based notebook experience. It combines the flexibility of Jupyter notebooks with features designed for teams, making it easy to analyze data, write code, and share insights without worrying about local environment setup. Real-time collaboration, similar to working in a shared document. Cloud-hosted notebooks with no complex local configuration. Support for Python, SQL, and popular data science libraries. Easy integration with databases, cloud storage, and version control systems. Clean, intuitive interface that simplifies data exploration and visualization. For me, the most valuable feature is the collaborative editing. Multiple team members can work on the same notebook simultaneously, making it much easier to review analyses, troubleshoot code, and share findings in one place. The biggest benefit is improved productivity. Deepnote streamlines the entire data analysis workflow by reducing setup time, simplifying collaboration, and making notebooks easily accessible from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback is the resource limitations for compute-heavy workloads. While it's great for most analytics tasks, large-scale data processing or complex machine learning experiments may require more powerful infrastructure or higher-tier plans. Performance can slow down when working with very large datasets or resource-intensive notebooks. Some advanced customization and environment configuration options are more limited than in a locally managed Jupyter setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote solves the challenge of collaborative data analysis by providing a cloud-based environment where teams can write code, analyze data, and share results without dealing with local setup or version conflicts. It brings notebooks, data connections, and collaboration into a single workspace. Eliminates the hassle of configuring local development environments. Enables real-time collaboration on notebooks, reducing back-and-forth communication. Simplifies access to databases, cloud storage, and external data sources. Makes it easy to document analyses alongside code and visualizations. Keeps projects centralized, making them easier to share, review, and reproduce. In my workflow, Deepnote helps accelerate exploratory data analysis, SQL queries, reporting, and prototype development. Instead of exchanging notebook files or resolving environment issues, team members can collaborate in the same workspace and see updates instantly. The biggest benefit is greater productivity and collaboration. Deepnote reduces setup time, improves reproducibility, and allows teams to move from raw data to actionable insights much more efficiently.

Real-Time Collaboration That Makes Lab Work Easy
Reviewed on Jul 13, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to work in real time with my physics lab partners as a university student. Outside of labs this mean it is also easier to make changes and not have to send my updated code to my lab partners, for this reason I use Deepnote. Allowing for the software to be free is also great for university students. AI can be handy at times although I don't personally use it too much. Performance is solid, little bit slow but I understand why that is case too given we use the free plan
What do you dislike about the product?
Accessing shared files in the UI is hard, I don't think anyone in my lab has figured it out. We regularly have to open our emails to access shared files, as it does not seem to show up on the UI? I feel this is a bit unconventional
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote is solving the ability for files that otherwise could not be worked on collaboratively, to be worked on collaboratively. Prior to Deepnote it was hard to share python files, all software I'm aware of doesn't share files

What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Deepnote is that it can feel a bit heavy for quick, simple tasks, especially if you just want to run a fast analysis without the full collaborative setup.
It really shines in team environments, but for solo, lightweight work, it might be more than you need.

Streamlined, Dedicated Environment Would Elevate Cross-Language Integration
Reviewed on Jan 27, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Deepnote's ability to have multiple people working on a single document at the same time is a must-have for data science or analytics teams. It's like a Google Docs that came to Jupyter Notebook. This makes it easy to work across teams and streamline the workflow with little friction, despite daily use. Deepnote's AI integration also means that we can focus on just writing the code and leave it up to the AI to automate the syntax hygiene and documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration across different coding languages like queuring a data frame in SQL, then using it in R, or importing in custom or proprietary functions from a corporate GitHub is either missing, difficult to implement, or clunky. In these situations, it would be great to have it more streamlined and have a more dedicated environment running in the background to mimic the UI of other cloud services, like Posit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest challenges in any data science or analytics team is the friction that comes up when working together on code and syntax. Too often, that friction leads to a handoff style of collaboration, where people pass progress back and forth instead of working in parallel. Deepnote helps enable more real-time collaboration through comments and live viewing of the work as it’s being done.

Reproducible experiments and analysis with Deepnote
Reviewed on Jan 23, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
Moving to Deepnote has transformed how we collaborate and share analysis, research, and experiments at PredictAP. The integrations allow us to connect to different data sources and easily run analysis with the help of AI-generated scripts. Notebooks are easily accessible, making experiments more reproducible without the overhead of setting up developer environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI agent is helpful, but I still prefer using Claude Code directly. When prompting the AI agent in Deepnote, it creates many additional cells, which makes for a jarring experience—I often have to go back and clean them up. My workflow currently consists mainly of editing scripts in Claude Code and then copying them back into Deepnote. For data analysis, however, I do find the AI agent helpful for generating quick visualization scripts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the ability to reproduce data analysis and experimentation - This helps us share and build on learnings throughout the team
