Deepnote: Seamless Real-Time Collaboration for AI and Data Science

    Reviewed on Sep 01, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Deepnote is how seamlessly it brings collaboration, data science workflows, integrations, and AI assistance into a single platform. Teams can work together in real time on complex projects without constantly switching between tools.

Its intuitive, well-designed interface makes notebooks easy to organize and use, while its integrations and built-in capabilities support a wide range of AI and data science applications.

Overall, Deepnote stands out for its combination of power, flexibility, and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Deepnote could improve is its support for software testing and education-focused workflows. More seamless unit-testing capabilities within notebooks would make it easier to validate code and maintain quality in complex projects.
In academic settings, built-in autograding tools and integrations with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle would also be highly valuable. My students use Deepnote for collaborative group projects, and features for distributing assignments, tracking submissions, and providing automated feedback would make the platform even more effective for teaching. Education is a substantial market, and these capabilities could help Deepnote serve instructors and students more comprehensively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote helps solve the challenge of managing complex data analytics, machine learning, and deep learning projects across fragmented tools and environments. By combining collaborative notebooks, GitHub integration, access to multiple data sources and file formats, and built-in AI assistance in one cloud-based platform, it reduces setup time and makes projects easier to organize, reproduce, and share.

Deepnote’s Modern Jupyter Experience with Seamless MCP Integration

    Reviewed on Aug 30, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Deepnote offers MCP integration along with a modern Jupyter experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that I regret not using it earlier. I still have a lot to catch up on. Recently, I screwed up with sync because Deepnote’s CLI sync function expects the entire workspace synced instead of just the scoped folder. It’s a skill issue on my end though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m currently building a config compiler for custom OpenAI compatible endpoint’s models list because I needed to resolve discrepancies so my agentic tools are aware of the actual model specs instead of hardcoding everything and relying on fallbacks

    Reviewed on Jul 23, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative notebook allows me to get my students to contribute code in real-time which provides a better experience than when they have to come use my laptop
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that if I want to remove members from a collaborative workspace there is no way to remove multiple user at once
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as an interactive classroom where all students have a front row seat and every student can interact with the code

Real-Time Collaboration That Makes Lab Work Easy

    Reviewed on Jul 13, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to work in real time with my physics lab partners as a university student. Outside of labs this mean it is also easier to make changes and not have to send my updated code to my lab partners, for this reason I use Deepnote. Allowing for the software to be free is also great for university students. AI can be handy at times although I don't personally use it too much. Performance is solid, little bit slow but I understand why that is case too given we use the free plan
What do you dislike about the product?
Accessing shared files in the UI is hard, I don't think anyone in my lab has figured it out. We regularly have to open our emails to access shared files, as it does not seem to show up on the UI? I feel this is a bit unconventional
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepnote is solving the ability for files that otherwise could not be worked on collaboratively, to be worked on collaboratively. Prior to Deepnote it was hard to share python files, all software I'm aware of doesn't share files

    Clarity for complex nutrition work

    Reviewed on Apr 28, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Working with Deepnote feels like upgrading from scattered notes to clear, structured thinking.

At pro-nutrition.fr, where data can get complex fast, it helps turn raw information into real understanding. It’s not just about analysis, it’s about clarity, flow, and collaboration.

Deepnote doesn’t just speed things up, it deepens the way you think. highly recommend it
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Deepnote is that it can feel a bit heavy for quick, simple tasks, especially if you just want to run a fast analysis without the full collaborative setup.

It really shines in team environments, but for solo, lightweight work, it might be more than you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At pro-nutrition, it keeps everything, data, analysis, insights, in one place, so I can focus on understanding patterns and making better, more personalized recommendations.

What do you like best about the product?
10 character that good in deepnote

If you mean good characters (features) in Deepnote, here are 10 strong ones:

Real-time collaboration – multiple users can edit notebooks simultaneously (like Google Docs).

Cloud-based – no need to install; works directly in your browser.

Streamlined, Dedicated Environment Would Elevate Cross-Language Integration

    Reviewed on Jan 27, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Deepnote's ability to have multiple people working on a single document at the same time is a must-have for data science or analytics teams. It's like a Google Docs that came to Jupyter Notebook. This makes it easy to work across teams and streamline the workflow with little friction, despite daily use. Deepnote's AI integration also means that we can focus on just writing the code and leave it up to the AI to automate the syntax hygiene and documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration across different coding languages like queuring a data frame in SQL, then using it in R, or importing in custom or proprietary functions from a corporate GitHub is either missing, difficult to implement, or clunky. In these situations, it would be great to have it more streamlined and have a more dedicated environment running in the background to mimic the UI of other cloud services, like Posit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest challenges in any data science or analytics team is the friction that comes up when working together on code and syntax. Too often, that friction leads to a handoff style of collaboration, where people pass progress back and forth instead of working in parallel. Deepnote helps enable more real-time collaboration through comments and live viewing of the work as it’s being done.

Reproducible experiments and analysis with Deepnote

    Reviewed on Jan 23, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Moving to Deepnote has transformed how we collaborate and share analysis, research, and experiments at PredictAP. The integrations allow us to connect to different data sources and easily run analysis with the help of AI-generated scripts. Notebooks are easily accessible, making experiments more reproducible without the overhead of setting up developer environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI agent is helpful, but I still prefer using Claude Code directly. When prompting the AI agent in Deepnote, it creates many additional cells, which makes for a jarring experience—I often have to go back and clean them up. My workflow currently consists mainly of editing scripts in Claude Code and then copying them back into Deepnote. For data analysis, however, I do find the AI agent helpful for generating quick visualization scripts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the ability to reproduce data analysis and experimentation - This helps us share and build on learnings throughout the team
