What do you like best about the product?

I like the security and reliability of Kiteworks. It makes it easy to share sensitive files while keeping control over access, and I feel confident that documents are protected when sending them outside the company.

What do you dislike about the product?

Managing access for external clients can sometimes be confusing. Some recipients need extra guidance to open shared files or complete the access steps, which can slow down collaboration.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Kiteworks helps us securely share sensitive files with external clients without relying on standard email attachments or unsecured file sharing tools, it gives us better control over access and reduces the risk of confidential information being shared with the wrong person. This makes client collaboration more secure and gives us greater confidence when handling important documents.

What do you like best about the product?

We use this for one of our customer requirement where they want us to send encrypted email and the workflow feature is nice in this and easy to configure and integration with exchange also works perfectly

What do you dislike about the product?

pricing wise its bit expensive when there is a requirement of a single customer.

sending encrypted emails which is one of the compliance requirement from a customer

What do you like best about the product?

The built-in audit logging built around DSGVO and BDSG standards is hands down the biggest win for our HR team in Hannover. Every single action—file opens, downloads, shares, even partial document previews—gets time-stamped and locked so entries can’t be altered after the fact. When the Lower Saxony LfD comes in for data protection audits, I can pull these logs straight from the platform without manually compiling spreadsheets for weeks. The tiered permission settings also let me wall off confidential medical employee records and DATEV payroll folders; only our contracted payroll advisors get access to those sensitive datasets, which massively cuts down our risk of accidental data leaks.

What do you dislike about the product?

The DATEV integration leaves a lot to be desired. Whenever I need to export archived payroll documents to feed into our DATEV workflows, the file formatting never lines up right off the bat, and I’m stuck reformatting batches manually every pay cycle. Mass permission updates for our network of external HR contractors move extremely slowly, eating up hours of admin work each month. On top of that, there aren’t many pre-built German report templates formatted to match LfD official submission guidelines, so I always have to restructure audit logs ahead of every scheduled inspection.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Kiteworks, sending personnel, candidate and payroll files over standard email or generic cloud drives put us at constant risk of DSGVO fines. We also spent countless work hours manually tracking every document access for audit evidence. Now its end-to-end encryption keeps all HR sensitive transfers compliant with BDSG and GoBD, and permanent activity trails slash the time I spend prepping for regulatory audits by more than half.

What do you like best about the product?

It is quite intuitive, so once you get a link you can easily drop off all the needed documents from the user perspective

What do you dislike about the product?

There are some bugs sometimes so I can redo the same work several times, I don't know what is the main reason of it but sometimes it's just needs to be refreshed

I like that this app really helps you to have all in one place- it centralises all the communication. This adds total visibility over confidential communication

Since it is cloud hosted - at time file upload takes lot of time

I used it to upload files and compose secure emails when sharing documents with internal teams and external stakeholders. The interface can take some time to get used to, especially for new users. Sometimes navigating between features like file sharing and secure email can feel a bit complex. Also, transferring very large files may take longer depending on the network speed.

In a corporate environment like Infosys, it ensures that sensitive documents are shared safely with the right people. This improves security, compliance, and makes collaboration easier across teams.

I like Kiteworks for its strong security and compliance controls, which gives me confidence when handling sensitive data. The built-in encryption, access controls, and policy enforcement mean secure behavior is the standard without having to remember additional steps. This significantly reduces accidental data exposure and makes compliance manageable. I appreciate the unified platform that consolidates secure email, managed file transfers, external collaboration, and audit reporting, simplifying workflows and reducing costs. The comprehensive audit trails and visibility help quickly answer questions like who accessed a file and when a download was shared. I also value Kiteworks' tight integration with identity providers, allowing user access and permissions to be managed centrally and making Kiteworks feel like a natural extension of our IT environment.

What do you dislike about the product?

The initial setup and configuration of Kiteworks can be complex, especially for organizations without dedicated IT or security resources. The onboarding process, particularly configuring policies, identity integration (SSO/LDAP), and encryption settings, can feel overwhelming. There are many powerful options, which can mean a steeper learning curve up front. The security and policy configuration has many moving parts and requires careful configuration to avoid impacting compliance or usability.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Kiteworks to replace insecure attachments with encrypted, tracked exchanges, ensuring compliant file transfers. It integrates well with identity management, aligning access with roles and easing user deprovisioning. Previously, we struggled with governance and visibility, which Kiteworks resolved with comprehensive audit trails.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that Kiteworks offers frictionless secure external sharing without the need for mandatory account creation for U.S. stakeholders, which eliminates the number one barrier to secure collaboration. I also appreciate the immutable, compliance-ready audit trails that are particularly useful for U.S. regulatory audits.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find the mobile app non-intuitive for on-the-go U.S. field teams. It has slow load times for large files like FINRA-regulated financial reports, lacks offline access for marked files, and the share link generator is hidden in nested menus. The initial setup was a mixed experience for our U.S.-based mid-market enterprise with specific regulatory obligations and a lean IT team.

What do you like best about the product?

I mainly use Kiteworks for securely sharing sensitive files and important documents with clients and colleagues. The audit log is one of my favorite features because I can see exactly who opened a file and when. This transparency makes file sharing much more trustworthy. I really like how easily I can control who can view, download, or forward the files. Setting permissions feels very straightforward and reliable. I also appreciate that they make file sharing safer and more transparent as I can manage access easily and track every action taken on my documents. Additionally, the integration with Microsoft Outlook for sending secure links and notifications is handy, and after the basic configuration, my team got comfortable quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some parts of Kiteworks feel a little complex for new users. The interface could be smoother and more modern. Large file uploads can be slow sometimes. Mobile usability could be better.
