What do you like best about the product?
the best of the tool, is its user interface which makes it easy to use by users without the need to be experts in the subject, in addition, Fortinen offers a high quality support which always accompanies us in any implementation we have, in the same way the equipment has a multi-vendor integration without the need to change the rest of the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
so far the only thing that I would like to improve is the fact that when a search is made in the policy panel, when a modification is made in the searched policy, it does not maintain the search, so it is necessary to search it again to validate its status.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
in order to provide a high level of protection to the network from attacks on the different services that we keep guarded with the equipment.

compatibility issues whit certain appications or devices on the networks may arise. fortigate offters numerous advanced configuration options and features, which can lead to increased complexity during implementation and setup. effectively maintaining and managin fortigate may necessitate personnel whit specialized technical expertise in cybersecurity, potentially resulting in addional hiring costs.

in my experience when using fortigate is highly secure and versatile.it provides a robust defense aganist cyber threats,whit application control and centralized management, although it requires an initial investmen and technical expertise.scalability an multilayer protection make it valuable.

Least likely about Fortigate NGFW is the complexity for the configuration, especially to the user who are not familiar with the interfaces and features which can be challenging for less experienced administrator.

Optimization of usable traffic coming in/out within the organization . It also help us to connect with external customer using IPSec configuration without degrading security posture.
