What do you like best about the product?

It's like it's built for healthcare, so connecting systems is much faster as it supports both HL7 and FHIR. The HL7 support made it easy to expose patient data in a standard and secure format among all other interoperating applications.

What do you dislike about the product?

It's very powerful but not beginner friendly and the cost for licensing and support for product custom feature is very expensive for a small scale Healthcare organization to afford.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Compared to all other systems that I have used, the database is very fast and in the perspective of scaling, it handles growing patient data and transaction volumes without constant re-engineering.

What do you like best about the product?

It's the comprehensive Interoperability Platform which can easily connect and interface to any Healthcare EMR system and easily for troubleshoot as well. Onboarding new entities is very straightforward and simple.

What do you dislike about the product?

Could be better to improve the UI for naive users

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's solving the overall performance of the HIE and its intelligence is amazing to work on and pricing is reasonable

I like the rapid time to market with InterSystems IRIS for Health. I also appreciate its stability, performance, and support. The initial setup was really easy.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don't like how the configurations in InterSystems IRIS for Health are only local and not replicated across mirror members.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use InterSystems IRIS for Health for internal interoperability projects and solving communication with external solutions. It offers rapid time to market, and I appreciate its stability, performance, and support.

What do you like best about the product?

I love that with InterSystems IRIS for Health, I can build an HL7 connection and then take that data to load it into an application that I view on a website hosted in an IRIS web application, all in one tool. It's really beneficial that object-oriented programming, a data persistence layer, SQL projection, and interoperability are all rolled into one product, which particularly helps with the interoperability layer. Setting it up is fairly easy provided the server is correctly configured. Our organization has helped several other organizations switch from their legacy engines to IRIS for Health.

What do you dislike about the product?

Their AI tools are getting better every day but not quite there yet.

InterSystems IRIS for Health integrates object-oriented programming, data persistence, SQL, and interoperability, helping us solve interoperability issues effectively.

Its flexibility and powerful interoperability capabilities, especially for integrating different healthcare systems and data formats.

The learning curve can be a bit steep, especially for new developers, and some features could be more intuitive and easier to use.

It makes system integration and data exchange easier, reducing development effort and helping us deliver solutions faster.

The robustness and agility of the database with such sensitive data. The support from InterSystems and the developer community it maintains greatly facilitates daily operations. I believe that for what it delivers, the price is extremely fair.

Some native commands, present in other more common databases, do not work here. However, this is easily circumvented with other solutions within IRIS.

I have no problems at the moment, but the changes and evolutions aimed at artificial intelligence have been very useful. Some deprecated items were quickly and very well replaced. This happens very transparently and with notifications.

What do you like best about the product?

There isn't anything that doesn't work well. The management portal is intuitive to use and allows you to easily monitor your productions. This helps to ensure successful integration between different systems.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some of the documentation for methods is lacking in explanation of what they do, so you may have to read the underlying code. This can sometimes be quite difficult if the code uses a lot of abbreviations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows for rapid successful data flow between multiple Healthcare systems. This reduces the time doctors need to take to receive information, which means they can spend more time caring for their patients.

What do you like best about the product?

I really appreciate the 'easy to use' aspect of InterSystems IRIS for Health. I like the ability to process and route HL7 messages efficiently. Although it's initially a bit tricky to find everything, over time all the functions and features become easier to use.

Even though it's tough and robust, I think the UI could be a little more simple. Maybe to be more 'Modern' designed, and better readability. At first it's a bit difficult to understand where everything is located, but with the right time, all the functions and features it gets easier.

Some concepts and tooling feel quite different from more mainstream stacks, which can slow onboarding. I also find that documentation can be fragmented, making it harder to quickly find practical, end-to-end examples.
