What do you like best about the product?

The ability to manage my devices with Asset discovery and inventory, endpoint management, and others. the enhanced security resilience. The pach management system is one of the best quality.

What do you dislike about the product?

Honestly, the system is well arranged and organized all in one software. At the first it looks a little complex to work with but when you get familiar it's supper cool software.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well, Tanium provides various major advantages across day-to-day operations. specially with windows update, patch management asset identification and others.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate that Tanium has dramatically reduced our time to remediate critical patches. It has also solved our issue of fragmented asset data by providing a single, trusted source of truth for our inventory. Additionally, Tanium has ensured our remote workforce remains compliant with corporate security policies. Another thing I like is the integration with ServiceNow and Splunk, which enhances its functionality within our existing setup.

What do you dislike about the product?

It can be complex for new users. The interface is not user friendly. We needed skilled resources to handle the architecture deployment and configuration.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Tanium to bridge IT operations with security teams, solving fragmented asset data issues with a single source of truth for inventory. It dramatically reduces time for critical patch remediation, ensuring remote workforce compliance with security policies.

I like that Tanium is fast on solutions, especially when I make a query, it answers fast and accurately. The initial setup was easy for me and my team.

Tanium solves IT problems for me quickly and accurately, providing fast and accurate answers whenever I have a question.

What do you like best about the product?

It wasn’t until I used Tanium’s capabilities to quickly identify the status of the endpoints involved in an incident that I realized the importance of Tanium. No longer did I need to wait for reporting or sift through logs in multiple systems to determine what had transpired. This experience has completely altered my approach to troubleshooting, as I am now not reliant on lagging data. Another feature that I found compelling about Tanium is its ability to drill down from a broad overview to an individual endpoint without needing a new solution.

What do you dislike about the product?

Familiarization with the tool was difficult. At one point, I could only fumble around with my queries before being able to make sense of what it needed from me. It does not offer too much guidance on this aspect, meaning you need to figure out your way around by experimentation or proper understanding of the underlying principles. The interface is very heavy, too. There are just a lot going on, making it sometimes unclear which part of it to pay attention to. With a high number of endpoints, the amount of data is just too much.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Tanium, I was constantly dealing with delayed visibility. I would find out about issues after they already spread or after logs were collected, which slowed everything down. Now I can directly check endpoints in real time and confirm what’s actually happening instead of relying on assumptions or outdated data. That makes incident response much faster, because I don’t need to wait for information to come in from different systems. Over time, this has reduced the back-and-forth during investigations and made it easier to stay ahead of problems instead of reacting too late.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about Tanium is its real time visibility and control over endpoints. It allows you to quickly query and manage thousands of systems within seconds, which is extremely useful for security operations and incident response. The platform is powerful when it comes to patch management, asset discovery, and threat detection, all in one place. I also like how it reduces the need for multiple tools by combining endpoint management and security capabilities.

What do you dislike about the product?

What I dislike about Tanium is that it has a steep learning curve, especially for new users. The interface and query structure can take time to understand, and proper training is often required to use it effectively. It can also be resource intensive and relatively expensive, which may not be ideal for smaller organizations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tanium solves the problem of lack of visibility and slow response across large scale IT environments. It enables real time monitoring, quick threat detection, and faster remediation across endpoints. For me, it helps in identifying vulnerabilities, managing patches efficiently, and responding to incidents without delays. Overall, it improves security posture and reduces operational effort by centralizing endpoint management.

What do you like best about the product?

The CLI is awesome, I can simply integrate it within my scripts, automatioons and recently inti AI agents

What do you dislike about the product?

To be honest, it’s a little bit pricey for both starters and to thise with quite a customer base in regions sensitive to price. Also more features equals more complexity to manage

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Real time exposures of manages assests is what drove me first to Tanium. It’s a major security and compliance issue. And I’m glad to see it covered rhe way Tanium does it

What do you like best about the product?

Tanium's most useful and prominent feature is its ability to "ask questions" to all endpoints (computers, servers, cloud instances) within seconds and gain real-time visibility into these devices, thanks to its distributed architecture.

What do you dislike about the product?

High Cost: As Tanium is an enterprise-level solution, its licensing and operational costs are quite high. Complex Configuration: Especially in large and heterogeneous environments, correctly configuring all modules is time-consuming and requires expertise. Performance Impact: In some cases, it may increase CPU usage on endpoint devices (machines), especially during intensive scanning or patching operations. Learning Curve: The wide range of features offered by the platform can make it difficult for users to fully master the system and requires in-depth technical knowledge.

What do you like best about the product?

It uses a different approach to help me understand the real-time status of each device connected to the network, and it supports shared actions such as installing updates or removing malware.

What do you dislike about the product?

High cost: It’s often used in large organizations rather than small businesses. Complexity: It requires trained technical teams to manage. Overall, it’s expensive and demands technical expertise.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Unified platform: It combines IT operations and security into a single tool, which reduces the need for multiple, overlapping solutions. It also helps enable a faster response to threats.

What do you like best about the product?

It's usually very difficult to keep track of all endpoint activity on our company's network, and with Tanium it's so, so easy. THe interface is really user friendly, and the platform is really flexible with the integrations available, for example you can connect it with Copilot or ServiceNow without any sort of extra effort, and performance wise it takes less than half the time than how we did it before. Pricing is really great as well because it doesn't offer you just a membership type of service, but more a plugin scheme that adapts to your very specific needs. Another thing I give a lot of kudos to is the support and onboarding team behind everything because they truly make sure you are succesful using the platform, and give you a concierge level of care that other competitors do not.

What do you dislike about the product?

The only thing that I would say is an area of opportunity, but understandable due to how the system works, is that it tends to be a bit sluggish when you initiate things and are beginning your day. It does take a bit of learning as well to navigate interfaces but I still stand that it is simple to use because once everything clicks it is all really seamless.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

No more manual review of our endpoints and a vast array of integrations so that true automation can be had when it comes to having our IT team have complete overview of the company's systems.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate that Tanium serves as a single command center for our IT and security teams, allowing us to push patches, monitor, and maintain our devices effectively. I love how we can see everything on a single consolidated screen and fix issues right from that screen without needing to switch between multiple tools as we had to before. Tanium also provides real-time responses to queries like 'who has this file' or 'who is missing this patch,' which is a significant improvement over our previous system where similar queries would take days.

What do you dislike about the product?

Tanium is quite feature-rich, but it brings so much documentation and it's quite daunting for a new user to learn what feature is where. The learning curve is quite steep.

Tanium serves as a single hub for device monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting. It consolidates tools into one screen, saving us time by providing real-time responses to queries, enhancing efficiency and efficacy.
