What do you like best about the product?

I really like the UI of the Privacera Data Security Platform. There have been three versions, and the most recent one is pretty awesome and user-friendly. It's easy for anyone with a bit of trial and error to navigate, where all the data sources are listed. People can easily create policies and tags and map them to resources to see them in play at the data layer. After getting used to the UI and implementation, it's easy to play around with, and they also provide APIs which are equally useful.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think Privacera Data Security Platform has very frequent releases, which sometimes lead to bugs. I'd suggest having less frequent releases that are more stable and thoroughly tested. Also their documentation becomes bit outdated with those release as new features appear but documents are not parallely updated

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Privacera Data Security Platform to easily manage data access levels for different users, like developers and analysts, ensuring the correct access is granted efficiently through their intuitive UI.

What do you like best about the product?

It is easy to use the functions from Privaceara portal UI

What do you dislike about the product?

The setup of the instance is not very smooth and takes long time and lots of efforts

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

There are lots of CVEs in the Docler images and the team continues working on fixing the high and critical CVEs

What do you like best about the product?

I like how well it integrates with our existing environment and other services like Starburst and our governance initiatives. It has helped improve coordination across teams while giving us a more centralized approach to data access management and security. Their support team is very responsive, knowledgeable, and consistently follows through, which has made a big difference during planning and implementation efforts.

What do you dislike about the product?

One challenge was that some of the upgrade and integration efforts took longer than expected and required ongoing weekly working sessions, sometimes lasting several hours at a time. Due to the complexity of coordinating across multiple platforms and teams, the process could be time intensive during major upgrades. That said, the Privacera team stayed engaged throughout the process, remained responsive, and continued working closely with us to move things forward successfully.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Privacera has been helping us move forward with our People Data Factory (PDF) project and ABAC initiatives by giving us a more centralized way to manage and secure access to sensitive data. Their team has worked closely with us throughout the process, especially around integrations with Starburst and our governance efforts. As our requirements continue to evolve, Privacera has helped us better plan for more granular access controls and improve coordination across teams working on sensitive HR and organizational data.

Centralized access control and performance.

What do you dislike about the product?

Lack of ready easy integration with Trino/Starburst.

Centralizing and automation of data access

The team has been very responsive to our needs. Had built-in support for our target data systems from the start.

What do you dislike about the product?

The documentation is split between two websites and is incomplete. The team does not seem large enough to quickly address our needs. There is no validation on policy conditions and failed policy applications are buried in the audit logs, often with no details on what caused the failure.

Obviosuly cost factor

Implmenting sometime becomes complex data ecosystems

similar to apache ranger unless you already worked in it - learning curve
